Tourney Opinions
Hello again everyone, I thought I'd try to see if we could get a casual tourney going and wanted to get some ideas from the community. I have been aware of cockatrice for a while now, but I have recently found out about an online, no download required site to play called untap.

What would be the preferred method of play? What format should the event be in?
I was thinking Standard or Commander as that is where most of the player base seems to be. If commander, I'd like to keep things casual and fun and apply house-rules, which are up for discussion. One such example I would use is that Azami, Lady of Scrolls cannot be used as a commander. Every Azami deck I have played against and have heard about from others have all had the same description - the game is grueling, unfun, and Azami players play to win and have no other purpose in mind. Normally, this is understandable. However, in a format designed to be casual, a deck designed to counter everything, take massive amounts of extra turns, and eventually combo out to win after 20 minutes while everyone else is bored watching is not exactly ideal.
If you disagree or would like to add other cards, please leave a comment. Standard cards are not up for discussion, sorry!

tribal edh for short. I think that would be quite fun. If this website you speak of has a free deck builder thingy then this could be done. The epic plot twist is "participants are assigned a random creature type commander, and they have to build their edh deck off it."
Or something along the lines of that. I think it seems quite interesting.
And slivers aren't fair. We could always put a threshold on the creature type or value of the cards. Like a cap on total mythic in a deck or something.
I could go and draft up a rules set of Ya like...
Or jest casual legacy
