Got an unused Guild Wars 1 account?

I'd really like to play Guild Wars 1 with a friend, but we're hesitant about dropping $50 (c'mon ANet, really?) on such an old game that we might not end up playing that much. Does anyone have an old account they'd be willing to lend? Promise to not touch anything on it except an empty character slot!

Unfortunately, that's just for any one of the single campaigns/EotN. For the whole bundle, it's still $50 on steam.

Probably not very helpful, but GW2 is going on sale for 10-15$ tomorrow. I dunno if that extends to GW1 though.

Try checking sites like G2A.com, they might have GW1 in reasonable price.
