So, for anyone who read the "Couch Flop" description, yes, I'm HIV positive.

I was diagnosed with it 7 years ago. I was 22 at the time. I turn 30 this year. I wasn't on any medication until last year. I was lucky, and my immune system held out for a while, then it didn't. I had to go on medication, which started the worst 9 months of my life, as they tried to find out which ones I could take without having bad reactions. From hallucinations, my skin turning red, liver damage, and suicidal depression... it took 9 months of hell before they found something that was stable for me. I didn't think I'd make it to this year honestly. I was trying to work up the courage to kill myself.

It was mostly the medicine talking, but it left me broken. There were a lot of things I had been neglecting in my life, due to running full steam for so long that I tried to ignore them. This year will involve a lot of introspection, but I have good people in my life. I'll be okay.
