A brief guide on how to play MH4 multiplayer with Glaives

Or more precisely Glaive users! First thing to know is what Glaive users do . Their whole thing is to use their insects to buff and heal themselves and get into full power mode to do their damage. However the main point of being a glaive user is to use their ability to jump attack a monster until they can mount it and knock it over allowing the slower harder hitting hunter to get in to to their damage, allow gunners to apply their status effects, and while the mounting is happening allow blade users to sharpen and heal and gunners to reload and bow users to apply coatings or set up traps.
For those that need it simpler Glaive users are your rougues. Their thing is combining mobility and DPS that can outweigh the dual blades with the reach and sweeping attacks of the longblades and pelting things with their insects while moving in to deal safe, and often times, elemntal damage from afar while buffing themselves and since they not only do a TON of damage but allow other people to get in and do theirs there's a very simple ettiquete to follow.
1. Let the Glaive users get their extracts. Their entire class is built around going into full power mode and sometimes distracting an enemy to let them get that shot in they need willend up doing a lot more then having them get bowled over or smacking them out of the way.
2. Know that any Glaive user worth their weight will be going for mounts almost constantly as that's what their class does best. IF they get a mount DO NOT ATTACK THE MONSTER! Take the time they're mounting to heal, sharpen, play hunting horns, switch ammo, eat, buff whatever or even attack smaller monsters to get rid of frenzy because if you hit the monster in the head, where a mounted player is counted as being, or break ANY part of the monsters body the minigame will fail the glaive user will be sent flying and prone and the monster will have freetime to do whatever it wants rather than be knocked down and easier to beat.
3. Know that Glaive user combos do both slash and impact damage and if you're using blades or hammers can usually help you daze monsters or sever parts more easily and it's best to pick adifferent side of a monster's body to let them help you out.
And for Insect Glaive users know that your only downfalls are three things. One you have THE SMALLEST choice when it comes to weapons having only 6 or so even in high rank quests, that most likely no one will ever understand your roll, and that 75% of all hammer users are douchebags that'll go out of their way to punt you with their upswing and send you sailing through the air completly and utterly prone. Other than that have fun being the absolutely most versatile class there is
