Do you remember when...

If you didn't agree with something You either talked about it among friends, debated over without assaulting people or screaming random insults and labels at them?
When you judged a game, movie, or book based on the quality of it's content rather than the content itself?
When you didn't agree with the above you just didn't buy it instead of whipping up frenzied hate mobs that go out of their way to assault people or ruin their careers?
This internet outrage culture is getting ridiculous, I mean I don't agree with doing it to people in your own country but to go after people in different countries is ridiculous and that's not even factoring in how bad censorship is getting from the Fire emblem fiasco a few years back, to the cancellation od Omega Labyrinth Q last year. the censorship of Senran Kagura this year AND the fact the sequel is in trouble because of SONY's new censorship policies it's getting bad. Hell Translators have even sad they altered storylinea of the fucking Yakuza games to make them more progressive because they had "problematic elements" and claim that yes it is totally because the values in Japan are changing. No really just ignore all the recent games and media from them that proves we're lying to save face.
Really the only super well known company that seems to be trying to get their games out in the original context is ATLUS and if you watch any kind of gaming news you already know how people are freaking out about the out of context video clip of Catherine: Full Body's many MANY endings. Like seriosuly what has happened with people these days?

Of course, Nintendo has also done some censoring as well, though it seems more to keeping the rating for kids.
The culture of internet outrage is the worst, I really hate that everything has to flare up into a frenzy mob because of one thing said wrongly, and then held forever against that person to the point where not apologizing and ignoring the mob would be the better choice. It makes me dread using my twitter because I know I'm gonna see at least a couple known furs make a big politicised fuss over something that would just been made casual fun of not 10 years ago.
