Fear and hate is the poison.
I'll never pretend that I've had some profound change on the world. I'm not an advocate. I don't cry out at injustice or go to protest anything. That's not what I do, not who I am. I just be myself and share my story bit by bit.
This morning I ran across this article. It really hit me hard. I've recently started streaming video games on Twitch. I don't do it often. This is because I find myself fearful that if I did get successful with it, I'd have someone try to stalk me, or harm me and my family.
It scares me to think, that anyone could have this happen. Regardless of gender. Regardless if they are speaking out or not. People do it because they want a 'laugh' at the expense of the emotional harm of others sometimes! To use the internet for this sort of thing is horrible. Fear and hate is what pushed on people when others do this sort of thing.
I have watched people be harassed on many online communities. Seen videos of very popular youtubers talking about the poison of the negativity that comes from the online communities. It saddens me how easily it is for a person to hate over the internet. A keyboard has so much more power that people realize, or maybe they do. Yet in their twisted minds they find it fun to break people down. They find it their right to hate others to the point that they break.
However, I know there is a way to counter this. Fear and hate is often countered by understanding and love. At the risk of sounding sappy, love is needed out there, it is the cure. So I encourage you all, send less hate and more love out there. Even if you don't know that person. Even if you feel that message will be lost. At least it is OUT there. Go find your favorite youtuber, or someone just starting. Tell them how awesome they are. Tell them how much you enjoy watching what they do. How much you enjoy someone's artwork, or how it brings you happiness or makes you laugh. Because sometimes just hearing something like that can make all the difference in a person's life. I know it has for me when it happens.
For those of you from the Transfurs page that do creative art, regardless if it's youtube videos, streaming, artwork, writing poems. Whatever it is, post your page on here. Let people know you're out there. We all know you could use a little love and support in your life.

I had a very good idea who had done it, they were so bold about it they bragged about it at work... the same place where I was working at the time. When I reported it to management they just shrugged it off because it didn't happen at work.
I started bringing Guns and Ammo to work to read. One of the guy asked what did I have for guns, so I told him that I had a number of them, and I had just had night sights put on my pistol and carbine so I could have a better chance of getting who ever was messing with my car. The harassment stopped both at home and at work... Funny how that worked out.

I think that's just about everywhere. :s
I'm working hard, but I might also be starting T soon, so that's very exciting for me, haha.
It doesn't feel like I'm working hard, but thanks for the cheering. :3 It make me feel better.
Take your steps as you need to! There's no rush or hurry. <3 You do you, okay?
There's too much completely avoidable pain in the world, but there's also a lot of hope for better things.
Always have hope for better things. They are always out there.
That will be one way I eventually make my voice heard on the matter~
I've been wanting to collab with my friends on some various youtube video ideas but hesitate to because my voice is one of the few things that outs me most of the time.
Just keep on keeping on, okay? Someday things will be better. <3
Thankfully, I'm either read right, or when I'm talking to people my bestie knows, she goes 'This is Len/Rivers, he's an irl friend of mine' and they just go with it.

The poison kills pretty easily and it's so very sad what it will do to people. Especially when you're new, it makes you question everything more than you already would and makes being who you are, just that much more impossible.
I'm mostly here on FA. It's not up yet but I'm working on a channel with my mate for these kinds of issues actually.
Much love to all the trans brothers and sisters out there.
It definitely makes you worry more

I'm sorry people made the site shitty for you, bro.
And as for sharing stuff, while I'm no artist, I'm the editor of a let's play channel I run with my cousins and some friends:
https://www.youtube.com/user/IdiotGamersTCD
We're still a pretty small channel, but we love what we do, heh.
But, i'm also a gamer, so i feel the misogyny and the transphobia on both sides, IRL and IG. Thankfully i've never had a run in with truly negative gaming-culture, i have on a number of occasions had people realize i'm a girl, and instantly they became fixated. "wow... you're really a girl-gamer?!"
Then i mop them. In ME3, after one of the first times i even played online, aka had no idea what i was doing, one guy added me and remarked i was a beast. Now, mind you- i'm not a Shooter fan, so this didnt seem to click with me. But he wanted to know if a was a guy or a girl. I simply retorted "should it matter?"
But also, thankfully, i dox as well. In doing so, and the fact that i'm older than the public internet, as well as come out to myself, and "digitally transitioned", back in the early 2000's, the internet seems to know more about me under my chosen name than my birth name. Good thing for me, though, despite the years of confusion when something was mailed to me under my chosen name, but it was not yet my legal name. So many missed opportunities. not really XD mostly spam. hehe.
anywho, yeah, gamergate is basically the westboro of gamers. who knows? maybe they are westboro?
