What's the Keranidae? 2.0

The Keranidae is a system based organism which cannot entirely be seen as a living nor can it be seen as a synthetic existence. It inherits a genetic code that is unique to it, and those who created the universe cannot control its spread through the universe, even with the most drastic of precautions. The original creators could not control it since its existence goes beyond the borders of one universe, and builds a bridge between the systems of different ones, infecting all of them. The essence of it does not have a soul, rather a structure, and therefore it is not bound by the rules of one. It inherits a form of AI that interacts with its surroundings increasing the speed of evolution.
To control the outbreak, the guardian protocol was enacted and the Tinx was created, out of the old code and knowledge extracted from an ancient transcended being that is said to have inherited a Keranidae strain. A control system that acts on its own, has a built in synthetic soul that is programmed precisely to its tasks. It collects all knowledge and controls the balance of the universe by eradicating causes of balance shifts. In most cases caused by infected planets, or civilizations that might cause a threat to the universe.
About the origin not much is known. No one knows where its existence started, or what it was born from. Besides that it "exists," and cannot be erased from the universe, for it is a part of the system. All information about it got lost in the circle of renewals of universes. It acts but it does not talk for it shows no self awareness.
It acts like a virus and while inactive does not give out any trace of itself. It is the essence of the Keranid body, which is its next evolutionary step. Only with a soul can it manifest itself on a physical plane, and only with a soul attached can it act on the physical realms freely. Yet a soul must be found that is able to carry the strain of the infection, and can go throughout many incarnations. As long as the soul remains, the information remains and reloads itself into the host after reincarnation. The Keranidae never forgets for it stores and saves all information.
As for the Keranid, it builds its body, its core, and it makes it possible for a Keranid to exist in the first place. It spreads through the planet and everything that exists on it, and builds a system, making the planet itself its heart and main energy source. The Keranid, which acts on the planet, has a soul which has its own direction, and inherits its free will. It makes choices that are not controlled by the Keranidae system, for its goal is only to exist, evolve, and manifest. That is the case on all scales and levels of being. A Keranid does not, and cannot inherit all knowledge of the Keranidae.
