The Rift Archives
The Rift Archives is a massive library within a pocket of the void. It is accessible with special keys that when placed into a door opens to a part of the library. The library itself is a giant, ever-growing being.
Sections
Top [Restricted Area]
The top of the archives is enclosed within a tree canopy. Although treelike from the outside the inside is filled with technology and windows that look out into the voids galaxy- like sky. This section holds the libraries restricted and rare books. To get into this section you need the head librarians key, the curators key, and the restricted section key. The holder of the restricted section key can bypass the other two keys to get in with an identity scan.
Middle
The middle archives are located in a large tree midsection. All of the shelves are formed from the tree and by the tree. No part of the tree is harmed. The tree itself is alive and bends, shapes, and grows to the need of the library. There are staircases, study rooms, desks, and the front greeting room where library visitors come through. Although they use technology like phones and computers, they are rarely seen in the library themselves and only in the study room for the guests. Keepers prefer not to use technology and only use it when needed.
Bottom
The bottom archives are a basement type area where the collecting types of keepers have their items stored. Resembles a glittering cave and also has a lake that goes down into the deepest part of the library.
Lower-Levels
The very last section of the library is a watery level where water based guests and keepers can safely browse articles on bubble screens or the waterproof books that the water keepers use. It has all the comforts of a sea home with coral and seaweed. There are tables and rocks to rest upon as well as a study room.
Security
The library, being a living creature, can sense danger within itself. If it feels like it’s being threatened all creatures [besides keepers] will be forcefully evicted back to their world. If the threat is found it will be isolated within a magic prison. The culprit will then have their key taken and their library status revoked. If harm was done to the library itself then a warden [Keepers of the Living Will] will be assigned to take them back to their world and turned into a magic embassy or authority if one is present. If no such place exists the memory of the library will be wiped from the culprit.
