Best possible 40th birthday gift? Anthrocon!
On Jun 5, I turn 40 years old. Wishing me a happy birthday, at around that time, is more than generous. However, there are those of you that may want to get me a gift or treat me to a night out. That would be most-certainly appreciated, but I propose another idea: perhaps it is possible that enough of my friends can pool your resources into on, fantastic, unforgettable gift: Anthrocon!
So far, I already have two friends that have offered to make monetary contributions. Thank you to both of you. ^!^
Monetary gifts are most certainly welcome, but that's certainly not the only way to contribute:
Lodging:
So far, I have not secured a room-share, and a discounted offer on a room share would be a most welcomed contribution.
Transportation:
Thanks to Megabus, I should be able to ride from Boston to Pittsburgh, and back, for less than $100, but I'd rather carpool with friends; perhaps even for the same cost as my bus tickets would be.
Nourishment:
I can bring a few things from home, so I'm not so worried that I won't have enough to eat. Still, if you'd like to teat me to a meal, or have some food in your room that you don't mind sharing, long as it's vegetarian, I'll gladly accept! ^!^
Thank you all for the kind (and sometimes lusty ^!^ ) attention and friendship that you have given me, some through the years, and others only recently. Your friendship means infinitely more to me than all of the furry conventions combined. No one should feel pressured in any way. I'd rather not attend a single furcon for the rest of my life than to loose a single friend.
I apologize to anyone that considers this to be begging, but I'd also like to inform you that the main reason I am attempting this stunt is so
Scars-Windblade has at least one opportunity to meet me in person. His health is on a roller-coaster, and I'm not sure how many more Anthrocons he'll be able to attend. We have both been talking about meeting each about five years now. I'd rather take action than wait yet another year.
And hey! There are probably others amongst you who have been looking forward to seeing me at Anthrocon, as well! ^!^

hey, happy early birthday :3 ....i just stumbled onto your page, and i see you attend conventions in the northeast. i live in connecticut, not far from boston...maybe you could help me out with like...a list of conventions that are within reasonable distance from you/me>? i dont have a car, im hoping i might be able to swing anthrocon this year, i just hoped you could...fill me in a little, as ive been kind of elsewhere for the last few years from the fandom, so im not in the loop anymore. x3 sorry to usurp your journal here, if i can figure out anthrocon and you can figure it out too, then i will be happy to see you there., or mmaybe we can help each other get there somehow. ^_^ ..as long as you dont mind HUGS im sure itll be a fukn ball. ;3
