I've been busy taking care of my stepdad's affairs and helping my mother with her needs. It is a soul crushing thing to see someone you love dying slowly by disease and I have been stressed dealing with agencies and businesses who don't want to be cooperative with information.

I had given up on attending Elliot's Spring Gathering. No money and too many responsibilities on my head.

Then, I got a text from one of the staff of Elliot's asking if I were going. I explained my situation and they expressed their sympathy. Then a minute later I got a message saying that my admission has been taken care of and that they hoped I could come.

A very good friend called and said that he has gotten a room and I was his guest if I made it.

The biggest surprise was that my family found out and told me to go. They would see to everything while I had a chance to unwind and decompress.

I am truly thankful and honored by everyone's generosity and thoughtfulness.
