Crisis Over and 'Sona Stuff

Hey gang, what's up?
Sorry about not having updated in a while, but I've been kinda busy IRL. A couple of weeks ago, I had something of a breakdown regarding my mental state in terms of my anxiety and feeling of hopelessness and dissatisfaction with my existence and how things are going with my life. It was a really dark moment for me, probably the first time I've ever felt that messed up in my whole life. *shivers*
But, thankfully, that darkness has ebbed, and I'm feeling much better now. Yup, back to our regularly scheduled chaos, already in progress (lol XP). But seriously, I'm a tad more optimistic about things going forward, and have been trying to figure out a way to be more positive about things in my life and about myself as a person. It isn't easy, as I'm my own worst critic/enemy most of the time, but I'm still going to try.
On a separate note, that being the second half of the subject line (lol XP), I'm trying to come up with a new 'sona/OC to represent myself that I'd like to use here on FA (and possibly other places like tumblr, regardless of the fact that my talents are limited to the written word instead of visual art). Don't get me wrong, I like Corinth/Corina just fine, it's just that the more I think about it, the less I feel like they fit me as a person. Plus there's also the fact that I didn't have that much lined up for them as characters when I commissioned
potionmastercernun. I just had a vague idea, and if you know me (and have seen my world building stuff), then you know I like to write stuff out- sometimes in character sheets/profiles and other times from stories I've worked on. I didn't really do that with Corinth/Corina, so I guess I don't feel as attached to them as I should.
The problem is, I don't really know what I'm looking for in regards to making a fursona; or maybe, I don't know what I should be looking for. I've already got a pokesona all lined up and what not- TJ the Dewott morph- but I still want to have something unique, something that I feel a connection to, something that isn't connected to a licensed property (like pokemon, who are connected to Nintendo). I've worked with the latter idea for most of my "career" as a fan fiction writer, so I want to try something new, something original.
I know that they'll likely start off as a human, then be transformed into their anthro/furry form that's the opposite gender via magic- as I really like gender bender/tftg stuff and especially when magic's the catalyst (and probably wouldn't mind being subjected to it if it were real, lol XP) - but aside from that, I'm kinda stuck. If anyone has any ideas that might help me with the creation process or ordering my thoughts to help me focus on something that I resonate with, then I'd greatly appreciate it.
Anyhow, that's all I've really got for you guys this time around. I hope you all are doing well wherever you are, and I'll look forward to hearing from you again when you're able. Until next time, stay safe ouf there, stay awesome, and keep up the amazing work, my friends !
