I was thinking how long it would take before I would see feminism brought up in my face(feed) on this website.
Somehow hoped it would have never happened.

Anyway, I hardly see this journal as anything other than a means to get attention over that particular discussion of yours as I am pretty certain that person stopped "watching" you (and therefore following and receiving notifications of your journal) the moment he blocked you.

I guess I'm a bit baffled why it shouldn't be brought up?! Good feminism is great! It should be discussed, openly, happily, and inclusively.

And frankly, yeah, that other person might not see it but I know that if I see comments on someone's page, I check out the other user. There are obviously people who still don't get the concepts being talked about here and pointing them out doesn't hurt anyone - in fact, it educates. Which is good.

So I guess I'm failing to see what you're getting at here with the comment you made......

I will be frank and say that I watch people on an art site to be updated with the art they meticulously create, not to hear about some flawed and hypocritical social movements from the west.
Also, I find it entertaining how you are implying there is anything good about feminism.

Probably the best that they aren't watching you anymore, they have a very opposite opinion by the sound of it and may have upset you and the folks who agree with you further in the future. ; ^ ; There are certainly radicals on both sides (feminists...masculinists? I'm actually not sure what they would be called~ The folks who believe strongly in the male stereotype.) who frustrate each other. I think gender equality is important and should treat everyone with respect~ I suppose if that person felt strongly about his ideals for male persons and he personally as a man lives by that it's his own decision. If he's mean about it and gets himself in trouble he'll only have himself to blame~ ; ^ ; I think anyone can have their own idea of what femininity and masculinity is without being horrible to each other. It would be nice if they could be open minded at the same time but...baby steps, I guess~ ; u ;

i personally am all for the old term of feminism to where everyone is equally treated
and i agree that men can be soft and understanding and wonderful without being violent or overly macho

im not a fan however of the type of feminism that says that all men are awful or that want to put every guy down
like, cant we all try to live together equally instead of making it to where one gender has to have superiority?

i can be overly aggressive if i have so many problems coming at me at once and not enough time to fix at least, one? two.. Men have to fix things, that's what we do, and I'm a machinist... perfection is the job. i deal with measuring distances less than the width of a human hair daily. problems are not good, they make me sad. Otherwise, i could care less what others think, do or say, their lives don't matter in mine. stay over there respect my space, i'll respect yours. simple as that. These "Labels" and "Roles" that every seems so bent on having are senseless and waste time... i have two type of people, those i dislike and those i like, and that is determined by how I am treated in relation to them. Don't abuse my time, my advice, any my experiences, and i wont abuse you as a person verbally. Life is much easier.. so Merry whatever you people believe in, I'm bitter and best left alone lol.

All of this just makes me want to make a journal called " FEMINISM!" Containing only one line, "if that offended you please stop watching"

Its a gimmick and political label like everything else, it only serves to divide and ruin a person's focus... the real issues in the world are much more serious than gender roles... and would solving those issues eventually solve the little ones? They would, over time... things just don't happen overnight unless its bloody and tragic, and there is plenty of that to go around yet in this time and age. I'll cling to my guns, my home, my things, and keep doing what i do for a living until its my time, and i'm more than happy to let things go by.. as posts like this aren't taken seriously. Either case everyone is just as capable of doing something, but not always equal to each other, its skills and learned traits... not forced ideology.
