A few hours before I wrote this journal entry I asked a question about a piece of art I recently received as a commission. At the time the question was intended to be innocent (I was uncertain of my judgement and was asking for a second opinion) and I honestly did not see the negative implications until KV1NN4 and Nereza pointed them out. At first I maintained the question was harmless, but as I looked at it again... Yeah. They had a very good point. I will not repeat the question here, and I've taken the submission down to avoid further offence. But I will repost the last thing I said to both of them just before deciding to taking it down completely:
Ignore everything I said above. You're completely right. I should never have asked those questions at all, in any way. It wasn't my intention to be an arsehole, but that doesn't change that in hindsight, I was.
My sincere apologies to everyone who was offended by the question and the way in which it was asked. The artist in question ( who it turns out was extremely offended) has asked for no further communication. I will honour that request.

I don't update my journal very often, so this one will probably stay up for a time. While I may have taken the submission down, I do not want to fully erase the mistake I made, as this is a brief period of history I very much do not want to repeat.
