Hard to find people (even those who like it) to go through with fatal vore in RP because it relies on them doing the rest of the work while you get to sit and read it. Always works better in art, I guess. None of my friends like fatal, though...wish they did.

It's not so much trouble. I usually just make one big last post to handle describing it all.

Sometimes I find people that enjoy describing what is happening to themselves throughout the digestion process as well. So it doesn't always require a huge final post.

I've seen a couple people do that, but not very often.

I rarely RP, but on the occasion where a predator snags me into a scenario I can't walk away from, I do my best to describe what's happening to me. It isn't just digestion going on; it's a love affair between myself and the predator's stomach.

Sentiment like that is why I mostly enjoy willing prey~

When I over-think it, I can't see anyone who classifies themselves as prey to be anything other than willing. Why else would they be prey if not to be eaten? Unwilling just doesn't make sense to me. I will always be willing, with the full knowledge that my goal will be the death of me. But like I stated - within the belly of a predator there is no dishonor.

Yeah, I don't really get people who strictly play unwilling prey. Definitely not my thing. Most of the time I like something akin to semi willing, or pseudo unwilling. Where the prey is resistant at first and unsure, but warms up to the situation. Or just playfully complains about the situation.

I don't RP, so I may not be fully qualified to answer this, but there are two reasons I can think of why people would play unwilling prey. The first is that they're playing a character, not themselves, so while they're into it, the character most certainly is not. The second is that they like to enjoy the thrill of a fatal vore scenario while in the comfort of safety IRL. Most people would not actually find sexual arousal if they knew they were about to die, so they're roleplaying that scenario.
Of course, if it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing, but maybe that'll help give a new perspective to understand where they're coming from. :)

I mean I can understand that most people play characters separate from themselves. But my character is me, and since I can just reform, there's not much reason to be unwilling.

The definition of "fatal" differ from one person to the next.
For some, Fatal simply mean the prey's body gets destroyed, but does not forbid said prey's reformation.
For other (you and me included), Fatal is the end of the prey. It gets eaten, it's game over. It won't never ever be seen again (in that canon/setting anyway).

I was in the mood to complain about distinctions, but now that I've seen you twos' comments I feel like I don't have to.
I already had some zingers prepared though, like "To folks who like for death to not be the end, what then is death?"

I tend to play unwilling because it's more realistic. The idea that someone would just let themselves get eaten by a predator is beyond ridiculous. Plus, it reflects my real-life feelings that if I was ever eaten by a predator, I, too, would be unwilling.

As for the digestion, the prey would never want that. Not if it means dying. Maybe if he or she knew that re-formation would be possible, but other than that, I cannot see a reason for welcoming digestion, which makes digestion more fun. Predators tend to enjoy the prey that fights more than the prey that is willing. That's why all of my prey characters tend to be unwilling.

Vore is moreso about intimacy to me, and giving yourself to your partner. That's my basic feeling on it. Also I do find the idea of being digested fairly enjoyable myself. I know others who feel the same, so it is definitely not ridiculous to want to be eaten.

Oh, no, I, in real life, want to be eaten. I just don't want to be digested since I know that means death. My characters want neither of those, which makes playing them fun.

Death is gonna happen. I figure my options are old age, getting hit by a bus while crossing the street, shot by terrorists at a holiday party (okay, I'll keep the political crap outta this), cancer, or ... being digested in DoctorCRaZ's belly. Given any control of my life (and death!), I choose the warm embrace of DoctorCRaZ's stomach. To feel the muscles just beyond the soft, slimy flesh churning their welcome - and the beginning of my end - is greatly preferable to the other options. His stomach would hungrily hasten to disassemble and absorb me, giving a purpose to it, as opposed to simply being snuffed out by the above-mentioned bus.

Digestion is a beautiful thing; a sharing of oneself completely for the benefit of another.

I get that you're not into it, and that's fine. But some of us are. And it's not really all that ridiculous. :3

In my case, not sure how others often do it, as a pred I tend to setup an environment and the prey with the reaction line. A sort of half and half to at least keep a short digestion scene going if the main focus.

So for example, I as the pred will describe the movement of the muscle walls, the texture of the flesh around them, at the very least the temperature expectations, and then the prey will describe their reactions to such detail. The pred essentially switches to Rping as the stomach, with outside details here and there, while the prey reacts to the predator's description of their surrounding environment. This is done by the pred without actually describing anything that could essentially steal lines from the prey and vice versa, so that both characters can continue in such a scene.

As prey, I've always been cognizant of the perils involved in being swallowed alive. It's a one-way trip; not some E-ticket ride that I'll later post about on facebook. Why would a predator eat me if not to sustain his hunger?

And knowing it is fatal, why do I still find it appealing? Too much psychology to go through there, so I'll just skip over that and say that I have no problem giving myself to a greater creature's need for sustenance. To be completely engulfed within a predator's ravenous stomach, knowing that my final moments will entail being digested alive - strikes me as a natural and honorable death in the realm of Nature.

I like a soft entry and a gurgle to the end. The fear of the prey and realism is greatly enjoyable for most scenarios and I love it when the prey can just give into the situation in the long run.

The willing prey to me has to go through a long series of "testing" and put through the ringer to try and get the prey to a point where they realize the gravity to the situation and find the romance in giving into the predator when they are relatively clueless.

What kills me is those who have the fear and anticipation you must cut through and in the end they "reform". Takes all the reasoning out of the emotions and build up. It makes no sense and infuriates me the absolute most.

The best part of it all to me is the reconciliation. Lots of effort and passion goes into it.

Eh, When I think of fatal vore I think of it as merging the other character permanently into the predator who eats them. You know, just like how food works. For me, personally, the whole reformation kills my drive.

You become a part of the predator forever. They are your god over life and death and pretty much you will do whatever it takes to live.

That being said, I don't frown on those who don't want to lose their characters permanently I just wish them to always respect my wished to not reform in the same RP/Chat room until I am gone. Kinda like the feeling of being a powerful dominant predator who can take whatever he/she wants and force them down my throat as my new food.

I dunno, I know that sounds a bit egotistical but it's not about ego with me. ^^ I can be the humblest character ever made, but when the hunger strikes I just have to have you rolling over my taste buds and then down my throat. It's like, an obsession and a power trip at the same time for me. heh

I used to RP back on yahoo user rooms so fatal anything meant that the character died off, it actually put meaning into the fight for survival and the thrill of the hunt was all there. <3 Yes, I was a dragon back then before I knew what vore was and I so dearly enjoyed plucking up dragon slayers, beating them in T1 combat and then enjoying as I peel away that tedious armor and swallowing them alive to digest them into nothingness.

Hmm, oh yes, I do also enjoy the ending of it all too. <3 Who doesn't like the moment that the prey finally leaves them and they are nothing. Consumed, absorbed for all they were worth and left as nothing but waste. No one able to ever know just what became of them or where they went. That moment when a predator forgets all about who you were before they ate you and just walks away like you were lil to nothing but meat on a silver platter. Off to do it again the very next day.

Mmm, sorry, but I guess I am just a sick and twisted creature of bad habits ^.=.~ I enjoy it.

Fatal vore is, to certain extent, the ultimate form of displaying power. Anybody that knows me know that along with vore, I love to have power/control.
(And I kind of dont like willing prey or guys that are way too eager to serve; that creeps me out). A tad unwilling is perfect).

That's a bit why I am not fan of hypnosis in vore; it makes an otherwise unwilling prey into willing.
I also love digestion. A vore scene is not complete without a prey being destroyed by the predator's body. At least not for me.
I think showing my love for fatal vore scared a good amount of watchers or possible commissioners. And that's a shame, even if I understand the psychology behind. A lot of artists get a lot of love and prey because the pred acts like a kind of a mother, keeping the prey inside it until its time to spit it out or whatever method the pred uses to dispose of it. xD A fatal vore scene like the ones I like dont give any room for anything like that. The prey is just nothing more than food, its fate is sealed and can't do anything against my power. It's okay if you cry, you'll stop when my body is done with you.

The idea of characters being eaten and never used again (perma-vore) is very appealing to me too. It's why in my mind I imagine a backstory for every character that I eat.

I also find willing prey a little creepy and that it decreases the feeling of power, but there are some forms of hypnosis that I still enjoy. If they prey gets released from the effect once it's too late and realizes that they've doomed themselves, or if the hypnosis takes control of their body but not their mind making them watch as they feed themselves to the predator. Both are fun.

What you just described as "fun" is more creepy than the thing you claimed to be creppy.

Maybe your standards are too high.

Depends on several factors. How hard you are looking, how bad you want it, what the artist will provide, knowing the limits of set artist, and then the price range you are working with.

There are several artists out there and it isn't exactly up to them to suit your tastes so much as meeting the taste before you get to asking them.

If no one suits you, be the artist instead.. works for me.

Sadly many of us are not good artist, and would instead produce something that looks like something a very special 5 year old drew (at least my stuff does..) and it's not near as good as the stuff you talented artists make :p Otherwise it would have been great thing, since there's many things i have in my head that i would love to see made into pictures, and while commissions exist, a artist can't really pin point to 100% what it is you see in your head when you order a commission.

Aye, it's true that an artist will probably not get your idea out at 100%, but it is expected for them to try a little harder each time they produce something in the same format again and again. That is where knowing what the artist can provide comes in handy. Expecting no less than a previous quality and being surprised by more than that can be rather fun.

Every commission artist works differently and has different pricing, but I would like to assume that it should be more about the product than the money they are receiving... Personally if that isn't the case, they aren't an artist because the product isn't their main concern in the first place. Who needs to work with people who have no soul in their craft...

Working with the artist, working with a commissioner... That should be fun, painless, and worth doing again and again. Who knows just how many ways a person wants to imagine their character's last moments.

Idunno, i feel there's quite alot of good artists out there, of course it might depend on the type of vore you want done, i'm sure many can do a gurgling belly, coughing up a skull with a bulging belly or so, but not as many will do it with clear melting flesh and body parts dropping off or something like that. That's the only thing i can think of that i don't see that much great art of.

I love the more realistic aspects of vore. It doesn't even have to be the direct result of digestion itself, sometimes even if the prey just suffocates in the pred's maw or stomach it can be just as fun. As a story teller as much an artist, things like the pred "switching off" their digestive system or having a storage stomach just reek of plot convenience and frankly that shit is just annoying.

Far better is prey being trapped in foul smelling, humid, churning total darkness drenched in fluids with the purpose of dissolving their very flesh. Even if they manage to get out somehow and survive, vore without the realistic threat of a painful and uncomfortable fatality just seems somehow half assed and wrong.

I love the scenarios where the willing prey realizes just what they've gotten themselves into. But of course unwilling prey is just as fun. Even unwilling preds unable to stop it from happening and feeling a life end inside them is just... fantastic. B3


Like, I would take any of those scenarios on as a commission even if my slots were full, and I'd probably do it before them too. XD

Usually if I'm gonna go this route with one of my characters as the victim, its so I can make room in my mind for someone new to play, like... clearing out old save files or something. Personally I prefer it to be a violent death, a fight that goes badly, or some kind of execution, or something else that isn't too easy for the predator, Make them have to actually earn the meat.

I personally LOVE fatal vore as it gives a chance to play with some of the more taboo feelings and stronger emotions that you just don't get with rinse-repeat "friendly" vore. Don't get me wrong, it's always nice when the pred and prey both get to enjoy it and it's all happy and mushy and rainbows and butterflies, but sometimes a little dash of realism makes for some very amazingly powerful scenes. When the prey us truly realising they are doomed and perhaps the pred realising it too. A normally kind hearted pred in the throes of predatory lust, unable to resist following through. That kinda stuff. And in my opinion, so long as both parties are enjoying the scene that's all that should matter

Fatal vore just belongs to it, the moanign of the prey, caught between lust and pain, the loud gurgling, the churning... nd the fact that all my lions muscles are nothign more than tasty meat to other ;)

I always find it disheartening when I see a really good vore picture, and the poster has a small story in the description related to it, and in that story you find it to be non-fatal vore. Kind of ruins the mood for me.

Yeah, that's kind of a buzzkill. And actually something that has mainly been happening for me on Eka's portal (Where you can follow things by tags) i often get a bit disappointed when i see a great looking vore picture but the person who payed for the commission (Not pointing fingers or giving names) only does soft vore and never does anything fatal. I've seen the person commenting a bit here and there and they seem really nice but it's just so boring, and it really brings your hopes up when you see a good looking thumbnail or a picture by someone you know is a great artist before getting let-down when you see who the character getting eaten/the commissioner is. Even more of a buzzkill than when i see pictures where in the description mentions that it's a non-fatal scenario.

I have to leave things people pay for ambiguous as hell all the time.. that and a few good people I like don't appreciate fatal. Being able to bust loose is fun, but what sucks the most is when someone wont even compromise ambiguity. Sucks more when they do conclude in their upload that they were unharmed, especially when they involve my characters. if I say it is ambiguous and the commissioner thinks otherwise... well I just guess that my description can also be as blunt about an ending that was not wholly intended.

Yyyyeah. Happens to me a lot too. It's always a disappointment, and it almost always sounds contrived and flow-breaking: "Oh, don't worry! I don't digest my meals!"

Like, what. That is literally only added there to make the situation non-fatal. XD

For me, i just love Fatal vore for a dominance/humiliation.

Playing pred is something i really enjoy, especially playing a larger one, while i do still love big squirmy bulges slowly digesting into nice round pudgy shapes i must say i enjoy being more of a larger pred since it gives more options. Turning cities into an all-you-can-eat buffet or just being able to turn anything you see into a naughty toy with no regards for the people or original intentions for the item, like making a buss packed with people a mere toy for you as you slide it up your butt or a snack as you drop it down your throat. Turning whole armies with the intention of protecting their people into pudge on your gut without them doing as much as a scratch on you.

Or rather than just feasting, just have a bit of fun with the town instead. Toy around with different kinds of vehicles, people, buildings. See what makes the most pleasing toy for you, with little to no care about the hundreds if not thousands of people to perish in such a humiliating way "We're here to remember the victims of the vicious dino attack that claimed the lives of hundreds of people, as a beast entered and started shoving person after person, vehicle after vehicle and building after building, up it's rectum." Not really a kind of death you'd take very seriously no matter what.

There's sadly a lack of city destruction vore scenarios of both these kinds, at least ones that are of decent quality. 5-D is pretty much the only leading person i can think of who makes good vore of this kind.

Of course Same size stuff is still enjoyable, don't get me wrong. It makes stuff alot more personal with two creatures of the same size going at eachother, which i don't mind now and then, but deep inside i'll always have a preference for macro's ;3

My main focus with vore is the digestion. When there's no digestion, or there is but it's just a short thing at the end, I end up really disappointed.

I prefer fatal, because there's just something thrilling about the knowledge that, one you've been eaten, there is absolutely no turning back.

I also enjoy being constantly taunted by my predator, about what's happening to me and my eventual fate. Whether willing or unwilling, the hungry stomach will force me into submission anyway. It's the ultimate domination, becoming nothing more than food to something much bigger than myself (literally), and having no choice but to wait out the long, slow process of digestion. Then once I'm completely gone, there are absolutely no traces left of me, almost as if I never existed (although obviously I did xD).

For some reason I really enjoy being human prey, usually to animal preds. And I prefer for there to be a significant size difference. Not only does same size and extremely oversized bellies look ridiculous IMHO, but to me there's just something more dominating about becoming food for something or someone much, much larger than me. I am easily overtaken as a result, and in some cases it may even be impossible for a bystander to tell that I'm trapped inside that stomach, gurgling away into nothing...

I could go on and on about all of the things I love in vore--but I think I've rambled long enough as it is. XD

Late response, but kudos from me, I feel 100% the same, regarding fatal, taunting, domination, size-ratio and as a human myself, of course, !
It's not easy to find a good RP partner. Gladly my pred-master likes digestion as well, which is wonderful, dying for him inside his humid stomach
There are also good stories around and I will include graphic digestion in my own one as well in Chapter 5!
Fatal vore = best vore

I like fatal vore, though I also like reforming! I think I've gotten sick of non-canon scenes being the way to circumvent permavore (which I strongly dislike) and want in-canon ways to have fatal vore but not permanently kill characters.

One thing I really, really prefer is vore scenarios taking a lot of the elements of RL BDSM things. If you're unfamiliar with those, the typical flow is Negotiation (where top and bottom decide what will and can't be included in a scene), then the Scene itself (all the lewd fun things!) and then Aftercare (where the top cares for the bottom due to their state).

Aftercare in the vore sense would be after reforming, the pred sort of caring for a weakened prey, though maybe still lightly teasing them about their food status, or letting them listen to their previous body churn. I enjoy a lot of degradation play, and I've had issues in the past with pred/prey relationships getting strained or broken because degradation needs some THING after to offset it, to let the other know 'No I don't REALLY think these things about you, I'm doing it because we both enjoy this'. I think this is a greatly underused thing in vore.

In the case of vore, the Negotiation would usually take place either before the prey gets nommed. In my opinion though, it's even better for Negotiation to be implied by the pred and prey's knowledge of each other. Learning their limits in advance, or even just having the prey tell the pred "In the future, feel freel to pounce and gobble me 'n turn me into mush", so that they can /play/ an unwilling scene out even though it's consensual, is my favorite. Pseudo-unwilling.

I've found that I don't really enjoy 'hard' unwilling anymore. Where the prey is 100% opposed to being eaten to the point of being terrified, and the pred has 0% care about this. In fact, I've found my perception of preds who do this shifting into negative territory, to the point where if the pred character is the player's fursona or personal representation of themselves, and they are digesting 100% unwilling prey, I get concerned that this is an accurate reflection of how they'd behave if they had such abilities in RL.

So. Anyway. That's my post thing. A little late to the party. :0

I am a little human prey
I am submissive and masochistic
I love dominant and powerful predators
I love getting humiliated and broken down
I love getting reduced to food (de-individualization)
I love the combination of both gentle (warm, soft) and cruel factors (acids, suffering)
I love to die painfully for the preds sole enjoyment
I love to get one with him finally, becoming part of something superior
I love graphic stuff (dissolving eyes, inner organs, breaking joints and bones, deforming...)
I don't mind non-fatal and loving vore either, but more for my heart, not to satisfy my horniness

to be honest i've always felt rather confused about fatal vore, like i really like the idea of getting gurgled away in a pred's stomach slowly and peacefully getting churned up disappearing into my pred, but at the same time i like really dislike the idea of.. well.. dying, especially if it's painfully. i know there's stuff like reformation or respawning or whatever name you'd prefer to use for it, but i've always been confused about that as well sooo.. welp i dunno really ;.;

That's fair enough! The whole "death" thing is an easy thing to get hung up on, whether reformation is involved or not. Confusion's fine, and I'm sure you'll come to a conclusion at some point. Just don't beat yourself up about it in the meantime, and you're good. :D

While I thoroughly enjoy fatal soft vore and it's my way to go with it when I do it, I'm so much more of a hard vore person. Which is why I'm always upset that there's no HV group yet that I can see ;o;

Could always make one yourself and advertise it to people in your HV circles!

Trust me: Maintaining a group like this is really easy. I barely do anything. It's just here as a resource for people to advertise their interests on their pages, and people use the shoutbox to meet new people (I think? Haven't heard anything about actual results from that practice, but people keep doing it, so it must not be entirely pointless).

If you want to do MORE with the HV group, it might take more time, but the way this group functions, there's barely any upkeep at all. Either way, good luck! I know how niche hard vore is, so I hope you can figure something out to bring in more people and encourage more material. :)

So who here is a fan of worldbuilding and lore development? I love it when people create their own personal universes.

I've made two worlds, one modern, one fantasy, but a good chunk of it is in the background in my head. The rules for them are around, but I never seem to get around to making everything public. :P

That does make sense. Sounds pretty interesting though. I typically go for more of a science fantasy approach with my universes though it still often leans more into science fiction or fantasy depending on what I'm going for with the universe I'm establishing.

I have a tendency to turn absolutely everything I do into one big lore dump though so I may go a bit overboard sometimes. But its how I like to work.

Indeed. I don't really do commissions so I have little need to buckle under an audience. And I honestly couldn't see myself finding joy in doing nothing but fan art. My insane ideas are where my inspiration stems from and making these worlds is my favourite aspect of being an artist. And I couldn't give it up for anything.

As for what universes I have. The vast majority are on my DeviantART which is my main haunt. I've only recently come back here and it was mainly to convert my profile into a more NSFW experimentation ground.

I had a felling it was. FA has much more lenient rules so I can get away with more things like penis vore and other more extreme types of vore.

Fetishes are pretty much my lifeblood and applying these fetishes too universes can lead to some very interesting results. I've already begun constructing one on here which already has a map of its world. I called it Lusterious and I'm using a similar (though a bit more simplified) structure to my main universe over on DA called Shattered Reality.

Vore stuff's pretty much my creative lifeblood too. Part of the reason I founded this group. Haha.

Seems pretty reasonable. I actually started off as a fat and flatulence fetish artist. Though those are still strong fetishes of mine I didn't really get into vore until very late 2015. Since then its become my fave fetish.

Though it does help that vorarephilia works so well with adipophilia and eproctophilia.

A goal I do have is to try and encourage more people to explore worldbuilding themselves. I even have a group over on DeviantART devoted to fetish worldbuilding. To many people cut corners and make up poor explanations for things.


If its just straight artwork with no intention of setting up a base I see no problem with that but if you plan to do things like write stories or role play you absolutely need to establish some lore to give your characters some grounding. And magic is fine as a lore element but it too still needs rules and can't just be the "anything goes" explanation or it feels cheap.

So due to being drawn from withing Soulcasting is more emotional while Mindcasting is more of a mental practice. And many technologies have been built off of mindcasting.

I like it. Its a very interesting concept and establishes a basis for how magic functions in this world of yours.

That's the idea, yeah. It's kind of an allegory for scientific progress in our own world, too. Soulcasting's more like religion and spirituality's influence on scientific progression, while mindcasting is essentially when we started taking the scientific method seriously. I don't know about you guys, but I'm into Fatal Vore and one of my favourite aspects about it (aside from guzzling fresh blood) is concerned with the expulsion of the prey. I love the idea of fully digesting and then messing what reminds of them into a diaper that can take it. It's so enjoyable to turn someone into nothing more than a load in your diaper to play with and squish for some fun before you change and toss it into the diaper bin with all the other dirty pamps. If the bones get through (the pointy parts would probably get rounded down by the stomach acid), it could even become something as lovely as a big, saggy bag of mess and bones hanging from the predator's rear. That's a nice visual, a stinky diaper with bones jutting out of the legholes and waistband if the prey was big game. Oh, and pampered preds are naturally amazing too, I prefer to be pred. Making the diaper pail the prey's grave makes me murr~

I want there to be a word for art of fatally chewing and ingesting prey without any graphic gore. I have a hard time finding crunching prey eating pictures without huge levels of splashy bloody guts, and I never like seeing that stuff, even if knowing it's happening, hearing it, and being awed by its powerful role symbolism is very high on my kink shelf.

Yeah, the only terms I've heard for it are soft hard vore and non-graphic hard vore. I don't know if there's a commonly used term for it, probably because it's not a commonly done thing.

You know I have read journals in here a lot and I was first like "Oh non-fatal folk can't be that bad." But I sadly now see that non-fatal people really can be malicious and quite rude towards fatal people. I am even more surpraised that I have seen only couple fatal people who have been really rude. I was once at first a non-fatal fan completely, but after realizing that reformation was option, fatal became more fun too in a way. I am glad to see that people here are at least polite towards non-fatal... well most of the time, I understand that those people can get pretty annoying and that snarky remarks and answers come up time to time too.

Honestly the whole thing with fatal that but me off so long was the aspect of death and after the journal that spottedsquek made, it made me feel much comfortable with fatal and not feel that guilty and bad about the deaths of fictional beings, because in a sense how they are refered as an actors, I see it as that you truly can't kill someone, that doesn't even exist. Most of the times all the characters and fursona's appear on other pictures too, so in my opinion there isn't just even true fatality in the end. I am though sorry for all the harrasment people have done towards those who make fatal art, it's quite the pity that vore has been split up and loud minorities give bad rep to the fans of the different sides.

Oh yeah. Most non-fatal fans are perfectly reasonable, polite individuals. I just think there's this gut-reaction that a certain percentage of the fandom can't overcome that makes people want to voice their displeasure, and the worst of the worst voice it by way of insulting the people making the content, rather than the content itself. There are, of course, levels of harassment. Sometimes it's just "This makes me feel really uncomfortable," which at worst just makes for an awkward "How do I respond to this?" situation, but sometimes you get the really nasty, downright malicious stuff. I had one asshole decide that the reason that I like fatal vore is because, get this, apparently my dad beat my mom while I was in the womb (which he did not, by the way; neither of my parents has ever been abusive). Like, who the hell says that? All because fictional characters in bad situations makes you feel icky?

So yeah. That's the unfortunate primary reason this group was formed: As a kind of insurance to point to when jackasses like that attack. It's a way to say, "You were warned; why are you even here?" Luckily, some folks are using it to connect with other similarly-interested people, which is always a positive. :)

Bloody hell, that really is disgutin how personal someone can go, but only because you like and find something attractive that they don't find. You would think that a bit niche fetish would have a bit more supportive people, but then again it's just one of those human nature's where it is seen as; "You like something I don't understand or like? That must mean there is something wrong with you and that you are a bad person." Would be nice, but I imagine most of them are very young and haven't really thought about things that deeply yet, so when they grow out of it, the next crop comes in and does the same thing. So you just gotta learn how to deal with it and not let it get to you.

Here's a real fun one: Go to their userpage and see what they're into. 99% of the time, they're into something just as "bad" or worse. I know this thread is some years old, but I'm a little surprised that no one brought up the topic of cub stuff yet. I've found it more prelavent in the fatal community, so I'm curious what your thoughts/stances are on it, since you folk seem pretty reasonable. Do you defend it because "It's fantasy" or is that a line you don't cross? Grey area perhaps?

I think all the founders of this group agree in various degrees that cub stuff is fine so long as it's not taken into the real world. I can't speak for the nuances for any of the other admins' opinions on the subject, but to me (samanthaweltzin), the material itself may be more or less disgusting depending on how sexual it gets, but so long as it remains drawn/written only, there's nothing morally objectionable about it in and of itself. We're drawing depictions of murder here; it would be hypocritical to say that involving a fictional child somehow crosses a line that fictional murder does not.
That said, it does raise a red flag about the person drawing it, so if there are signs that they might not just be interested in fantasy, they need to be encouraged to seek help so they don't actually hurt anyone.

Those are my personal views anyway. I hope you find that reasonable enough. I know this is an incredibly touchy subject that flares up emotions heavily, so I try not to talk about it that much unless it's directly asked of me or particularly relevant to current events. Still, the principle of "Do not harm real people in defense of fictional characters" remains at the forefront of my moral system when it comes to fetish material.

I am really pleasantly surprised how you acknowledge the fact that you would be hypocritical if fiction with child crosses the line and fictional murder or rape doesn't. There are some non-fatal (and of course non-vore for that matter) people out there who do, in fact, believe that we are monsters and psychopaths. Not many, but they exist.
But you're right. The Harm Principle matters here most of all, and aside from offending delicate sensibilities, fictional depictions of bad things don't really hurt anyone. One might argue that calls to action in fictional works for racist or violent reasons are an exception, but those are, again, crossing the line into the real world. Fatal vore does not advocate doing such things in real life by itself, and it takes a conscious effort to make that the message of a piece of work.

I don't understand how that'd be considered hypocritical, when many would argue there is a line between murder/rape, and the murder/rape of a child, considering it's the aspect of robbing pure innocence for usually selfish and/or malevolent reasons.

Granted, many of these arts that depict this are often between two consenting adults, which makes the entire topic that much muddier to put a solid foot in. Maybe it's just the idea that there's a good portion of people in the community who fetishize cub/child fantasies is what puts people off.

I, personally, do not see the murder of a child as worse than the murder of an adult. Murder is murder. You are ending a life. With a child, innocence is robbed, but with an adult, a contributing part of society that people rely upon is lost. You don't suddenly become more expendable when you hit 18. And either way, friends and family are devastated, though many people seem to think this is the case. So even IF we were to view this with real-world morality, which again is pointless in a fantasy depiction, there is not that much of a difference in the horrendeousness of an act. What matters is that it is horrendous.

I am aware that the vast majority of society views a child as more valuable and important than an adult, and that's largely what makes that knee-jerk reaction to cub stuff happen. But the fact of the matter is that fantasy depictions can only hurt people if they are recreated in real life, and even then, it is not the fantasy that is hurting people; it's the recreation. I am aware that depictions of child pornography have been used in grooming situations, but again, that is on the groomer, not the artist. Adult pornography is used for the exact same thing, and no one is calling for that to be banned on the ground of being a grooming tool.

Either way, you asked what this group's opinion is, and that's where we stand on this issue. I personally have yet to find a legitimate argument that fantasy depictions in and of themselves can be harmful. So far, the strict line between fantasy and reality has been a solid point of reference for morality, and honestly, it's not even that muddy. There is almost always a clear point where that line has been crossed, and that is a clear point where the act becomes immoral.

Fatal vore is just where there's death in some capacity. The other side, which seems to be growing lately, is non-fatal or endo, where no one dies. You are correct that the default assumption is pretty much that food is digested, though, so we're kinda the vanilla form, whereas endo has special exceptions to be made.

While I personally think that you can do with your property what you wish to do, there was a kerfuffle back in the day about someone buying cheap adopts exclusively for the purpose of permavoring them. Big ol' drama with pitchforks and everything. So while I think that if someone is selling a character, they shouldn't care about how it's used, a lot of people don't agree with me.
So a lot of this is where you stand on the issue, but also your tolerance for potential drama. If you just do it once it might not even catch anyone's radar, but if you do it a bunch, some people MAY get their panties in a twist.

So no real ethical concerns against it, but there is a risk of interpersonal drama. Gotcha.

You're thinking about this from a practical perspective, when it's very much vibes and concepts at play rather than the literal happening of the scenario. It varies from person to person, but a lot of it is that you literally cannot get closer than making one person a part of you. It's bonding at the cellular level, and in some cases a literal spiritual level.

I don't know if that helps, but it's what I've seen explained about the subject. I hope you can find a way to fortify yourself against some of this stuff though. Gotta remember it's fiction, and it brings joy to many people, even if it's not your thing.

Hey, glad you're starting to understand! A lot of it is seeing it from an instinctual level rather than anything grounded in reality.

As for the brutal stuff, it's just kind of about the thrill of the taboo in a lot of cases. At least, that's kinda what enticed me back when I used to draw hard digestion/hard vore stuff. Not into that anymore, as I've really gone hard into the cartoon aspect, but that's why I did it back in the day.

This isn’t meant to imply anything about people who like fatal vore, as I’m a “fan” of it myself, but it’s just a general thought that I wish had more research done on it. For example, my preference for fatal vore stems from my desire to see things in peril and pain—especially when it’s fatal and you get to see the victim’s bones—, and I’m guessing that desire stems from my poor mental health and exposure to lots of media I shouldn’t have seen when I was a kid. While there may be some statistical correlation, I don't think there's causative correlation. I was into vore for like 20 years before outside events gave me depression and anxiety. No mental illness to speak of, and even now it's manageable.

I'm not really into fatal, mostly Endo. But i don't mind people who do, I'm a "live and let live" kind of person. But recently I've been getting into fatal territory (mostly because at this point it seems like everyone Is into it in one way or another lmao) but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this odd kink.

We've all got the things we like and the things we're uncomfortable with. I'm not a huge fan of celebrating suffering either, but I've got no beef with those who do. It's all just fantasy, and as you said, it's not representative of the person in a direct 1:1 with their RL selves. There's almost always several degrees of abstraction between the surface and the reason behind it.

For me fatal isn't about the drawn-out suffering of the prey, it's about total submission and assimilation of the prey and the domination and satisfaction of the pred as well as the rush of irreversible finality. While it inevitably does involve death and discomfort I am somewhat more merciful to the prey in my scenarios where I have them die earlier and quicker from asphyxiation or CO2 buildup (which is the more realistic route anyways) where they mostly just fade to black before their body starts coming apart.

I actually don't like drawn-out torture either, so I usually ensure they are dead by the time they are really getting broken down. I do have some exceptions to this (as there is with every kink) but even my most sadistic exception doesn't reflect who I am as a person. Fantasy is a weird thing, but there usually is a level of disassociation between the fantasy and the person.
