Since coming back into the furry fold I have been getting some great questions via PM. I have answered them, but I figured I would answer them again, here, for everyone to read. If you care at all.
"Where Have You Been? (i.e. Why you no arts for two-years)"
The short answer; I have been busy. The long answer is more complicated and two-fold. The first fold is that I am a full time working media artist. I work a 9 to 5 at a studio being creative and making video motion graphics animations. When I get done at work I really don't have the ambition to do more art for other people (sic. bosses and clients). I have been drawing for myself and exploring some other stuff for the past few years. I have never stopped drawing furs and babyfurs in my sketch books, I have just not posted them again until recently. The second fold is that I got fed up with clients (the furs who order commissions). I had too many difficult ones that I didn't understand. Nit-picking things that were part of my style (they way I draw eyes for example), asking me to draw it more like some other artist draws; stuff like that. So, I quit taking commissions and stepped away.
"Why Can I See Other Sketches (Ghosted) On Your Sketch Posts? (YCH and Others)
My sketchbook is not precious to me in the least. It is only a means to an end. So, I draw on both sides of the page. I also draw in blue line pencil and I press very hard. So, when I scan my sketchbook pages you can see the ghosted image of the sketch on the other side of the page. This is also why my sketch book pages sometimes have black marks on them; tables are dirty and I don't protect my sketch book pages. I scan, then resize the sketch, and print it out so I can then light box the sketch onto good paper for inking.
"Are Your Old Pictures Still Online?"
Yes. But, like my standard furry stuff. I have not kept it up to date. I will be fixing that soon. You can see my entire archive at https://www.furaffinity.net/user/jadearchive
"Are You Going To Be Taking Standard Commissions?"
Nope. Right now I have no desire to do the standard commission thing. See the answer I gave to the first question.
"Will You Take Badge Commissions?"
Nope... well, maybe? I want to go to MFF (Midwest Fur Fest) again. I need to go to FM (Furry Migration - seeing as it is in my home city of Minneapolis). I think I have a cool idea for doing a weird hybrid standard / YCH badge thing. Long story short; if I go to a con I will do badges, if I don't go to a con, I won't do badges.
"Why Are You Only Doing YCH Auctions?"
The YCH auctions that I am currently doing are the product of a full sketchbook and wanting to make a few bucks. I won't lie. I am flabbergasted at the prices, but I am in pretty hardcore need of a new computer and, after seeing other artists do it, I thought I would dip my toe back into the water a bit and take a few.
"Why Are You A Stickler For $5 Increments When Bidding On A YCH Auction?"
I don't like the idea of being outbid before even having a chance to throw my money into the ring. I have seen auctions start at $10 and by the time I get my bid prepped (money into my paypal and all that) the bid was jumped to $100. I never even had a chance. While I still thought about bidding that high, I decided to forget it. I don't want to get into a bidding war that starts that high. I would rather be in the thick of it. Also, it is a rule I want followed because I like rules when I am in adult mode. Little Jade is a brat. Big Jade was in the military and wants rules followed.
Have I missed anything? Anything else that you are burning to know? Or perhaps just lukewarm to know? Feel free to ask them int he comments and I will answer them as soon as I can.
Thanks Everyone

As for a question; what do you enjoy in your off-time (of which I sympathize in how rare it can be), other than drawing? Is there something you're really passionate about, or is it your art that's your one true drive and joy? =3
When I am not arting I like to play guitar. Nothing important, I just like to noodle and learn songs from the 90's. I don't record or anything. I am also an avid outdoors person. I do a lot of camping in the northern part of Minnesota. I canoe camp in the Boundary Waters every year. In the winter I play a lot of video games when I am not out snowboarding. Snowboarding is the only activity that exceeds my art passion. If I ever won the lottery I would travel the world, snowboarding exotic locations.
I'm glad (and not surprised) that you're doing well with the YCH's. Your stuff has always been a staple in the community and with your absence I know that you're going to be in demand for a while as long as you want to continue.
Anyway, this really doesn't have much to do with your entry here. I just wanted to give you a shout hello and let you know that it's great to see you again. I'm pretty bummed that I'm not getting to MWFF anymore to catch up with you there, but such is the lives we lead.
Be well Jade.
*hugs*

I actually am surprised at the YCH's. I never expected what is going on with the bidding wars. $100, maybe $150. I won't complain but I am shocked. I expect that once I get to #5 or #7 it will have slowed down and become normal prices.
Nice to chat with you again too, Swifty. I hope you can make it back t MFF at some point in the future. If not this year perhaps the next. I want to get a huge babyfur party going at one of the cons. Get a collection of artists together (Marci, Reva, Tavi, Wen, Kalida, and many more that I can't remember off the top of my head right now) and have an artist jam out.
Laters Swifty.
I, for one, hope you stick around at least a little for a long time; I've admired your style and subject matter since I first saw your work.
In regards to commissions, another type you may consider doing is what I call "artist's choice."
This where a character ref is provided to the artist. Is allowed to specify minimal guidelines: diapered or not and if diapered whether clean or not. The artist then has complete artistic freedom of choosing pose, expression, clothing, colors, background etc etc. Unlike a YCH, the commissioner won't know what their getting until after it's finished. I've done this before with other artists and never been disappointed with the results.
