-Collegiate Scholars Nominated me for membership but...-

I find it strange how an educational society nominates a student with high academic standing and it comes from my college that I am currently attending no less. Well aware that I don't have money to spend. Keep this in mind. Yet they expect me to pay $95 USD just to gain membership into this organization and they give me bigger scholarship opportunities. And then you wonder why there are so many students in debt.
I was slightly peeved about it but I then decided to address it to my father. Big. Fucking. Mistake. My dad decides to give me a bit of attitude and tells me, "Ha. I would have told them to fuck off. It ain't worth $95 USD. Fuck that shit."
It upset me that the man who expects money and scholarships to fall right on my lap out of nowhere suddenly reject this opportunity. I am basically a sitting duck in this house because of how useless my dad makes me. He still refuses to let me get a job even if he highly praises that I am getting an education.
It's like he is still living in the old times of "as long as you have good grades, you will always receive scholarships and actually good financial aid". Shit doesn't work that way anymore, even if you dig deep, you don't have the same chance and you're never guaranteed financial aid unless you're unemployed and fucking homeless.
I'm getting tired of my dad's shit. He makes getting an education at my college a hell of a lot harder for me that it already was. I don't even know if I should even ask for donations or commissions funds for this thing. Thinking about it, it seems like a big, fucking scam.

But at the same time I do see it as a huge scam and it posses me off that they do this to students. If you nominate a student for excellent academic standing, why the fuck should they have to pay extra for a chance at getting their education paid. It's extremely dumb.
