Awesome People and Close Friends Part 1
Heyo everyone! Its been a long time since i've written a proper journal, and as you can see, uploads arent all that frequent from me. If you have a keen eye, you can probably see that there are a LOT of commissions of mine that have been posted in artists galleries that arent on my page yet, and the truth is I just havent had the time or energy to really write for them. Thats where this journal comes in.
I've been through a LOT of life changes in the past few years, most notabley my career. You see, at the prime of my story writing, I was into software development working at a desk all day. Whenever I wanted to take a little brain break from my work, it was easy to boot up Word and continue writing on a story. However, a little over 3 and a half years ago, I got out of that Industry. The people in the software industry I found to be a bunch of snakes and was very cutthroat. People take credit for your accomplishments, and somehow manage to pass the blame of something they did onto you. So I got out of that negative environment.
So what am I doing now you ask? Well, pretty much something polar opposite to what I was doing before. I drive a garbage truck! For a little over 3 years now Ive been working in Toronto driving for a couple companies. As you can imagine, its not really possible to sit and do some writing on a computer while driving a truck. The hours are also a LOT longer. In the software industry I was usually out the door after an 8 hour day. Driving a truck in Toronto, the shifts are pretty much a minimum 10 hours. I start at 6 and go til whenever the fuck im done xD Some days are shorter, some days longer, all depends how busy we are.
As you can imagine with working so many hours in a day, coming home and having the energy to do ANYTHING isnt really all there, hence the drastic slowdown in uploading pictures with stories. Once in a while I'm able to sit and write something short, but nowhere near the amount that I used to put into a story. It can be a struggle to even get 10 pages into one whereas i used to be able to put in 20-30 no problem
So what does this mean for the future? Well, sad to say a lot of uploads may never get stories like I had once intentionally hoped to do. Some pics may just have to be uploaded with a short little blurb to try and give it SOME life and SOME character development. Because one thing I really do enjoy about commissioning pictures is developing the characters I have over the years to try and give them some life and meaning.
Currently I've been on a MUCH needed vacation for the past week; and only after a week do I feel like I have the energy to do creative things. I still have one week to go before I have to return to Toronto to face the daily grind, so I may take this short time to try and finish up a few stories that have been in the works for probably a couple years now to say they're done. After that though, I make no promises as to whether or not you'll get full complete stories like I once used to put out.
HOWEVER... There is green grass on the other side! A while ago I figured out that my story writing would no longer be what it was, but with a little thinking and a little luck, I am happy to announce that me and
missmab will at SOME point be launching a collaborative project together! So dont fear, my stories aren't dead YET. You'll get to find out more later in the year when we know more information about things :3
To all of you who have given me gift art in the past (Especially
teckly) I feel SO BAD for not being able to write for the awesome pictures you had gotten for me, and I feel like a jerk for not being able to write like I was once able to x.x at SOME POINT, i WILL get your pictures uploaded HOPEFULLY with some kind of story to go with it! It may not be full blown like my other stuff, but I will do my best to put in some character development and scenery to the story for the pictures you've gotten for me. Bare with me and give me a little time to work on it! I havent forgotten about your kindness; just life seems to have been kicking my ass over the past few years x.x
Thats it from me! Now you all know whats going on, and hopefully I'll have more pictures uploaded in the next week before I have to go back to work!

That's sad to hear that Ontario isn't that nice of a place to work tech, my brother in law is working in Nashville and it's much nicer. But you've found something else to do, that's good.
