So I know it's been awhile since I posted anything up, but this last week has been insanity. We did however get saved at the last minute by my dad just as he came back from a research trip from China. I felt so bad asking him right when he got back, but I wasn't left much choice.

Despite the fact that we're okay now and Rina has lots of interviews lined up, I can't help but feel this was a bitter sweet end to this. Just... some of it left a bad taste in my mouth, and no, I don't mean that in a dirty way. Even I have standards.

Now Rina is doing work for my mother until she can find a job. There's a few places that she has a good feeling about and I hope one of them pan out. There's one retail store in particular that she'd really like to work for so keep your paws crossed that she gets it. She's been working so hard to find some work, she really deserves a break in life. I was just glad I could work something out because the stress was really starting to wear her out, and it was a small price to pay in the end. I'm meeting with him in the next couple days just to go eat lunch and talk before he heads to Stanford to give a talk. I can't wait until we're doing better financially so I never have to rely on anyone else for money ever again.

Oh, and on a semi-related note, commissions are closing, though they weren't exactly flying off the shelves anyways. It was a long shot to begin with and I prefer working on my own stuff for the most part anyways. I may go fishing for inspiration though in the near future though...

So things are okay, for now. I can only hope they stay that way and we get back on our feet soon.
