I have no comment notifications on my control page, yet there's a "1C" link at the top. Could someone please write me a comment so I can see if "Nuke comments" will clear it out?

Yup it worked! After the first three comments here, I had three notifications and a 4C up top. I hit Nuke Journal Comments, and everything reset.
