house of tail updated, mailing lists are absolute terror

Put out an update tonight for people who have bought into House of Tail (you guys are the best). Sent out emails using a mailing list and it just terrifies me using it for reasons. Figure I can post a journal while I wait for that to finish.
It's weird posting a journal. It's not lost on me how talk is cheap and people would rather see stuff. Constantly working on stuff. Want to draw more, but it's been a lot of coding and writing lately, learning new software.
Funny trivia: I read people's journals here more than browse art. Tend to check journals a couple times a week, maybe more, while I go through the art submission feed for a few days once every few months. I try to comment more, as everyone likes getting comments, right? But it's also weird reading into strangers' lives or seeing more personal art, and I don't want to intrude. Just peeping. Makes it sound creepy...
...and got a return email that I assume is an auto-responder saying this particular account is no longer active because the owner passed away ;_;
but mailing list is finished. relief. it was a pleasant talk. until next time

That auto-responder message is sad. ;___; A reminder that life goes on no matter what happens to us in our personal lives.
Ahaha, that's...kinda why I don't post much personal art, myself. You're like...showing all of that to the world. I'm toos hy. Would love to get past that though.. Hope things are still proceeding well for you in the almost 3 weeks since you posted this! ^___^
I think it's comforting, at least. The idea that, so long as you enjoy what you're doing, the simple understanding that it's all about making and finishing things is great. It means the hardship is temporary, that no matter how hard life hits, you can keep getting up and stay in the game.
And the next time i start a big game project or you take on all-the-commissions, we'll be much smarter about it~
That's true, and I think that's sorta how I've been living my life so far. If you fall down it's not the end of the world, just get back up, dust yourself off, and try again. Being able to take hits and keep going is important.
Yush! I'm actually going to re-structure things slightly, going forward. My ideal work rate will be the same but this should actually let me get close to it. *chuckles*
