General
The surgery went well. It was 3 1/2 hours under anesthesia and I have two rows of staples, one vertical and one horizontal that goes across my abdomen. As guaranteed, it is quite painful when I move and since the doctor recommended therapy,
I am in a rehab facility as I am typing this.
I am happy to be on solid food again after ice chips only for three days and trying not to gag on the N-G tube that was in my nose. The liquid diet was horrible and what didn't taste bad, didn't taste at all. It wasn't fun having two drains, the N-G tube, a hoking big catheter in you know where, two IV lines (one in each
hand) and a cannula for oxygen.
I was in hospital an extra night as the rehab place didn't have any beds available, but, Now I am sitting on my bed wondering what mess I have gotten myself into
We shall see.

I'm glad the surgery was successful! I know what it's like to be on ice-chips for three days! I had an intestinal resection back in 2003. Duncan and I hope you have a speedy and complete recovery!
