take a break and whenever your drawing paw feels better you can try drawing again. also take an easy now and then. you dont want to hurt your drawing paw again.

That is what I usually resort too. It helps the muscles but makes the joints hurt some.

Probably is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), you can try relaxing your paw by using a special glove for CTS

I'm hoping it isn't that, that would mean surgery would be needed later on.

Take your breaks! Also, as suggested above, do some hand stretches before you draw. I do it with my hands if I'm about to draw. Try drawing by moving your elbow along with your wrist and hand. I think it helps with hand pains as well.

More breaks = less productive, but its a necessary evil I suppose. *hugs*
