New Tablet = Art Problems
So I haven't uploaded anything in awhile pretty much for the reason I have not been able to complete anything xD
I finally got a new tablet... It's a very good tablet. However the learning curve for it is quite steep, probably steeper than I first anticipated. I am practicing with it and with new art problems. For the longest time I used Gimp and I absolutely HATE gimp, but it was all my computer could handle. My new computers can now handle Photoshop so that is what I am currently working with. :)
That being said I doubt I'll be comfortable taking commissions again for awhile, my skill with this thing is just not good enough yet. So I'll be focusing on my own personal art for awhile, any commissions I get will be completed using my old method of digital art but I wont be actively looking for any right now.
Just wanted to come out and say I'm not dead or anything... Just practicing a lot! x3

What type of learning curve is it? The software or hardware. I had a long learning curve with photoshop before getting use to it then tried SAI which I like better. Good luck with your practice and if you need help, I can probably assist you on some stuff.

Learning how to draw with a tablet honestly. All the settings, pressure sensitivity etc. It's a lot. I have a friend that's going to teach me Photoshop so hopefully that's a bit easier. I did want to learn SAI but I can not get it to work. I use dual monitors and that seems to be an issue for SAI.

Oh man that sucks. I'm pretty sure you'll get the hang of it. I know photoshop has a line tool but I personally didn't like how the lines look. It kinda looked generic and not drawn. If you get SAI to work, drawing lines on this program seems natural and smoother. There's even a set up to how smooth you want the lines to be drawn.

SAI is an easier to learn program, photoshop is massive and really does take years to learn. If your dual monitor problem is that your tablet locates a photoshop window just fine, but in SAI the surface of the tablet spans both monitors, you should be able to go into the tablet settings and manually define where the tablet area should align with SAI.

I've tried a few fixes and still can't get it to work. The alignment is off. Like my cursor is way off to where my pen is. I tried collaborating a few times and other Google fixes but so far nothing :c
