Back from Unannounced Absence
So... until now it's been 3 months since I've shown myself in "public" on this site, and for me it wasn't pleasant. Life during that time was really rough on me. Between having to go a week without power, breaking my PSP out of anger and frustration with my own family, and losing my USB drive... that all happened last September. Needless to say, that month just plain sucked, and most of October was me doing a whole lot of nothing. It's not only been over a full year without any stories from me, it's also been 3 months of almost pure lurkage. Until today, no journals, no comments, only the rare private message from me.
I feel that the worst part of this hiatus was that it was purely unannounced, and more or less unintended and out of hand. I'll admit that a huge part of this journal is me signaling to you that I still exist and am still at work on my writing, however infrequently.
During that time I hit 1,000 views. I feel that's nothing for me to celebrate, considering my inactivity.
That said, I was at least checking on this site, among others, during my absence. That's what lurkers do. And over the past months, there's been some really awesome stuff that popped up that I had no problem at least checking out. A special shoutout goes to
TastyTales for a certain Eevee vore story. Especially since a chance to ask something about it was what got me out of hiding today.
Once I finish my story, next up on my list is to catch up on my thoughts on everyone else's stuff and to update my watch list, not to mention working on my backlog of stuff I haven't checked yet. After that will probably be a super-journal entry where I cover a whole bunch of stuff, or at the very least my litany of 7th-generation thoughts. I may not be playing it day one, but that's why I've been spoiling anything and everything I can to myself.
So what is there to look forward to? Above all is that I intend to have a story next week. But how many times have I failed on that promise? I wouldn't be surprised if any of you had given up on waiting, but to those who haven't, I cannot thank you enough for your patience. I'll try to keep up some semblance of momentum, but I know better than to guarantee a new story soon even if I try my best. Some good news (in a way) is that, as I said, I won't have Sun/Moon distracting me. I'll try to get this thing done by next week, exactly one year after its original deadline. A look at my past journals would be a significant hint as to exactly when I hope to post it, even if I may be a bit busy on Wednesday and Friday...
Why yes, it does feel good to be back and out of Lurkville.
