Late night crankiness
Told my mom I am gonna be the Maid of Honor again at a friend's wedding this summer.
Of course she replied with "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride."
Made me pretty cranky for a hundred no good reasons.
I shouldn't treat this journal as a Livejournal, but there it is. I will drown my sorrows with Earl Grey tea.

FA+

Of course she never believes me.
My sister's mother-in-law gives her the same grief. To the point that she was griping at our mother about how selfish my sister is for not giving her grandbabies. O.o Of course, this completely ignores that my brother-in-law got a vasectomy before they even married. Oy.
So, uhh, yeah. Moms are weird. >.>
She's just trying to rush you. Take your time. ;3 life is too short to worry about these things.
Indeed, tea is wonderful. I think I'll go make some too.
I know what its like. You do whats right for you when it feels right. And im sure youll look wonderfully as the maid of honor.
You do what you want to do.
As long as you don't start expounding the virtues of those "tiny little tea leaves" in Tetley tea, I suppose :D
We live in progressive times!
(somehow I don't think this is helping)
Also have you ever tried Earl Grey White Tea? Pure awesome in a cup.
As for being a Maid of Honor that's what it is, an honor. Just be happy your friend is close enough to ask that of you. Keep you mind on that and what you will have to do for the wedding and don't worry about your mom.
babeh back ribbs XD
That wasn't very nice of her
Then a bro got married and then it was, "Well I wonder if I'll ever be a grandparent?"
They are now... (My bro & his wife, not me)
Don't try to let it get to you... the right person will come along (and anyone who passes you up is a JERK!).
Comments like that always set me in a bad mood too. My family likes to do that too, and it really isn't very fair. I'm sure one day you'll be the bride!
And if not? Proves that you don't have to have someone by your side to have a happy fulfilled life, right?
Either way, if you look at it in the right light, you can come out on top~
Don't let her words get to you too badly. Just think! Whenever you get to your wedding alter, you'll know exactly how you want to have it, and how weddings run. Most people that get married have to have dress rehersal type of stuff for this thing. I'm sure your wedding will run a lot smoother :3
/end positive outlook.
Or, you can always kick her and remind her she's getting old. >>; That's another favorite solution.
Course if this is a regualr statement of hers it maybe worth thinking up a reply to kill that so she don't use iit again. Mine kept bugging me for grandkids till I told her I was gay (bi technically) but I never heard "so when you going to have me some grandbabies" now she bugs my brother lol
There is no point in rushing, at first I thought the only way to hold onto someone was a relationship or marrige, but you know, being friends with someone is just as nice....without any of the compromises! ;D
Live life!!! Live it...sprinkle it with sugar....
Well lets just put it this way. When are you moving out here, do you want an apartment or house, are you willing to work, and when do I get grand babies? XD
Something along those lines, and we've been dating a week. XD Next thing I knew she wanted to take me to Vegas but luckily it was just to see the white tigers... not get hitched like its normally implied. XD
