I liked Flynn in Tron...not so much in government.

So Michael Flynn has resigned as national security advisor because he "inadvertently...omitted information" about his meetings with the Russian ambassador before Trump took office or he was appointed an official role in Trump's administration. Our illustrious cigar-chomping mephit proclaimed:
So Flynn was less than honest with Pence about his contacts with the Russian ambassador - he didn't break any laws but trust is important to President Trump so he dismissed Flynn.
Oh, I have no doubt Trump pushed the resignation, despite the claim to the contrary. People like Flynn don't give up power easily once they get it. But Cigarskunk outright LIED when he said no laws were broken. And I will call him a liar to his face if he hadn't banned me from posting because I was showing his "followers" (do they drink Kool-Aid?) how wrong and stupid almost everyone of his posts are.
The truth is we don't know if any laws were broken which is why the Democrats and many Republicans (now classified as RINOs according to CS) are calling for an investigation. There is one major law involved here: the Logan Act which bars private citizens from interfering with diplomatic disputes with other countries. It's classified as a treasonable offense with a maximum penalty of death. Flynn had no official capacity to talk with the Russian ambassador concerning anything related to US actions. Yet now we find he may have discussed easing sanctions the US has placed against Russia once Trump was sworn in. He claims no...but others near the conversation say otherwise. Who's right? I don't know. But to make an outright proclamation of Flynn's innocence is reckless and just as much a lie as "omitting information."
