Missing my first AnthrOhio since it was formed...
I am quite put out as I lay here recovering from some nasty business. About 3 month ago, I suffered osteomyelitus (bone infection) in the second toe of my right foot. The cure involved removing some of the bone in my toe, several days in the hospital, and over 4 weeks of IV antibiotics using a PICC line which let me administer the antibiotics at home. I also had a dressing on the foot that had to be changed twice a day. I'm happy to say that healed nicely.
Then the same affliction affected the second toe in my left foot. We weren't as lucky with that one. I've ended up losing the entire toe. Just got back home Friday, 5/26, with my left foot now bandaged and on oral antibiotics. Having just lost the toe, walking is a problem and I need to keep it elevated. Which means no AnthrOhio convention for me this year. I'm bummed about that, as the theme was one of my favorites: Retro Future Furries (furries of the future as seen from the 1950's and '60's.)
*sighs* I guess there is always next year, but drat!

FA+

Right down to the picc line and IV antibiotics.
So did the wireless mics ever show up?
I was just wanting to know if they got there safe.
