Looking for a New Me (sona)...

Like I said in my previous journal, I'm doing some new stuff this year, and one of those new things involves trying to find a new sona. Don't get me wrong, I love Gwen so much; she's allowed me to meet so many new, wonderful people here, and got me to open up a little, get out of my comfort zone, try new things, etcetera. So don't worry, she's not going anywhere anytime soon :-D. I just feel like I want to go a different direction now is all, find someone I connect with in regards to who I am now instead of who I was when I first made Gwen, and even Corinth/Corina for that matter.
Needless to say, that's easier said than done. Both because I guess I don't really know myself and what species would best reflect me, and because my brain is teh fickle and I can't really make up my mind between so many cool ideas and options, lol XP. Also, I'm torn between going for something deep and meaningful- like I said, a reflection of me- and going with something/someone that would just be fun to be for a while. I had a similar problem about a year ago when I created Gwen, if memory serves.
I thought I had it figured out a while back, had a species (deer/wolf hybrid) and a name ("Saoirse" (pronounced "Sear-sha") which is Celtic for "Freedom")... But then I realized that one of the things I felt I'd missed as Gwen was having feet/bring able to wiggle my toes (she has cervine hooves and Saoirse was going to as well), and I though having antlers- because there are some species of deer where females do grow antlers (like Caribou)- so I felt that I should try something different that wasn't as outlandish, hybrid, and somewhat inconvenient (I feel like doors would be an issue with a rack of antlers, lol :P). So then, I thought about going for a wolverine, since they're pretty cool, their fur pattern is nice, and they're actually pretty cute... And then I remembered I live in the Southern Central USA, and I'd quickly overheat in the summer from that thick coat, so that's feeling like it's out the door now too.
Right now I'm bouncing around a few more ideas in my head, trying to find which one fits, which one I'd enjoy being and maybe which may reflect me better. Suffice to say, this new girl is hard to nail down. Which is quite the pickle because I'd commissioned a ref sheet and TFTG sequence from the consistently
scissorsrunner of her and me turning into her respectfully, and while I'm not up on her list just yet, I will be soon, so though I have time I need to figure this out before that happens.
As of this moment, the list of possibles consists of:
- Wolverine (I still might keep her), Coyote, Griffin/Gryphon, Wolf, Armadillo, Hyena, Beaver, African Wild Dog, Red Panda, Black-Backed Jackal, Kangaroo, Wolf-Dragon (ala
auradragon12's Conor), Meerkat, a Pokemon of some sort (even though I rarely play nowadays XD; probably a canid like Lucario, Arcanine, Sylveon, etc, or feline like Incineroar), Tigerdillo (tiger/armadillo hybrid from the ATLA/LOK universe), Lynx, Bunny, aaaaaaaand Folf (fox/wolf).
So... Yeaaah, like I said before, my brain doesn't know how to stick with one idea or pick between several competing ones that it likes at the moment XD. But anyhow, just thought I should write this out for the sake of getting it off my chest. Hope you guys enjoyed my little emotion vomit (lol XP), and hopefully I'll be able to figure this out soon, preferrably before it's my turn on scissorsrunner's commissions list XD. I hope you're all doing well, and I'll look forward to hearing from you guys when you're able. Until then, stay safe out there, stay awesome, and keep up the awesome work, everyone !!

I really hope that something comes to you that lets you be the way you want to be, but not being anything specific is just as good as being something as well!
As for the Pokemon possibility, there are a couple that I really like. I know it's a little cliched because of their popularity, but Lucario in particular is really cool, doubly so as their Mega Evolution. I especially like Geekidog's take on them with her Pokesona, Onyx. Other than them, Arcanine, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Kangaskan, DeWott, Greninja, Lopunny, Delphox, Blaziken, Infernape, Incineroar, Buizel, Garchomp, and Noivern are also pretty cool, if we're counting ones that don't have hooves.
Salazzle is very similar to Vaporeon, smooth body type that easily fits a feminine look (which is intentional of course). Combine that with maybe an Arcanine if you want to go more fluffy or a Blaziken if you want more badassery, and you'd have a character that at least would get my vote. Also, Blaziken has a Mega form so there's your Mega wish. Salazzle/Arcanine would probably a bit more on the chubby side, but that cute chubby that works really well. Or go with Blaziken, and have the mega plus a more fit, tall character.
If you want a bigger body type, Kanghaskan and Incineroar would be your best bet. Also can mega, and would be probably somewhere between the other two mentions in height but more on the heavyset side.
Lopunny/Delphox would give you a really nice slim, short character and would open you up for a lot of really fun options such as magic plus having a built in skirt for cutesy/sexy scenes.
These are just some ideas off the top of my head, I'll look into more so if you don't like these just let me know ok?
