See if you spot a battered little old number two pencil on the ground somewhere, or wedged behind a couch/desk. Especially if it still has an eraser. The old pencil STILL possessing any amount of useable eraser is a rare thing.

For what it's worth,

A number of your personal works are amazingly beautiful in the emotion they express... I know it's not helping towards the 'paying the bills' part, but perhaps a bit a vent would help?

7 mm cheapie mechanical pencil is my favorite for everything

When I was little I had a giant pencil, like, as big as my arm. It was ornate -- it had a carved ball on the end and its shaft was tapered like a bedpost, and it was lacquered, and it had some kind of design on the side. I can't find anything like it on google, unfortunately, but that's the closest thing I've ever had to a magic pencil in my life.
