linked in?

now it has happened the second time someone contacted me via LinkedIn; and I wonder who they are.
I don't know that web site (and seriously, my only social connections are here on FA and a german furry forum, so if yiouz see me somewhere else it's not me). so if you know me via FA and want to invite me be a dear and drop me a note first so I know who you are here. :)
and maybe... I'll join there. :)
maybed not. I don't have too much free time for more socdial connections. but we'll see.
edit: looks like a random link. I doubt someone will be disappointed at me for not swallowing the bait...
thanks for all the replies! ^^

Weird. XD
I don't even have a LinkedIn!
I prefer to network here. :)
thanks! ^^
linkedin is own by microsoft and they are only interested in gathering info on you to sell to other companies.
i get notices on there all the time.
supposedly i could use being on there to get on art station.
i've been told, and it pretty much agrees with my impression,
that its mostly just a place for trading resume's
for getting 'professional' kind of jobs.
which is kind of like total "meh".
but i guess the person who turned me on to it,
got some kind bullshit discount on something for doing so.
woopie. well at least, its one of the few emails i get that aren't asking for donations.
and it isn't all the time. just when someone who's somewhere in 'my tree',
adds someone else.
your impression is in line with the other's experiences. besides if I were professional enough for them I'd be freelancing in art, not trying to scrape a living being a craftsman.
thanks. :)
It's supposed to be a "professional network", and very widespread among white collar workers (including us in IT), but it's practices are shady and they do everything to get as many people as possible to sign up - including "faking" invitation emails.
So just ignore them.
Either way, for those who need it, in Germany the network XING is more used.
ugh, white collars. :P
