I've been quiet in the fandom for a little while now, I know that I said I'd have a progress report up in a month and a bit but things have changed. While I was able to raise some money from the development of Pherian and from Ko-fi, it wasn't enough to work on the project full-time and as a result of this, I have had to get a job working as a software engineer for another company.

The contract I signed stated that whilst I could still write my own software, I wouldn't be able to make money from it through either full price sale or shareware "donations" or have the ability to test personal software in the workplace.

I know that this is shit, but there's nothing I can do about it. I need to work to put food on the table and pay bills. My fiance may have a job and get carers allowance but £190 a week won't pay the rent, bills and food shopping so it's only fair that I sacrifice something to be able to go out and split the cost.

In the future, I may be able to blow the dust off of pherian and continue working on it, but for now, the project is being shelved.
