Hopefully it comes out sometime next year.
Then again, I haven't used it yet, so I think I'll give the beta a try in a bit.

It looks incredible! Though I can already hear my computer crying at the thought of using this, it could barely handle a bit of fur on a model haha

Fur / Hair is generally kind of intensive anyway.
But I tried it, and it wasn't so bad. It's meant to be real-time after all.
Though it will take a bit of tweaking to get glass to work decently.

About the fur the 2.8 will have major optimizations for the fur, I've pushed it with 10 times the particle I can use in the 2.79 and the view port render and even editing the child particles remained in real time! The new blender will be actually lighter than the one we have right now :D (I just hope that they add the hair particle shaders and, if they are very kind, I'd liek to have also to add the support for the deep opacity map, I'd be even happier http://www.cemyuksel.com/research/d.....aps_slides.pdf )

And, about the glasses, this is still far from a real time path tracing, but, goddammit, that stuff can be almost indistinguishable from cycles most of the times!

It's not the creature that's amazing, it's everything that's behind it to make it look in the way that it look that's amazing, in particular that that you can see almost instantaneously the very final look. The possibilities are becoming way more endless, that's the truly amazing part :)
