The Tithe's Creed - Victor's Cup

The time for The Victor's Cup has arrived once again for the nation of Osceus. In an arena armed to the teeth with traps, six tithes will be fighting for the title of the Victor but only one person will leave the battleground standing.

This year's arena will take place on the abandoned city of Krolas. A century ago, Krolas used to house a population of a million in a small space of 130km² (50mi²) until a nuclear meltdown at a local power plant forced everyone to evacuate to safety.

A hundred years later, the hazardous waste had long decayed, leaving behind the desolate urbanscape that used to be centre of commerce that was Krolas, but nobody has made efforts to reinhabit the city. Paint have long peeled away in the rain, revealing the bare concrete below. Creeper plants and vines have come back to reclaim the land, climbing up skyscrapers, invading homes and covering cars.

For this year's Cup, the city has been rigged with the traps that all you viewers have come to know and love: pressure-triggered plates that bind a person's feet together, ceiling traps that will douse its victim with rubber, turrets that shoots leather bindings at the nearest target, and many, many more in store.

Our tithes will be starting the tournament at six random locations in the city, armed with nothing but a sling bag with basic supplies for a day. To survive, they will have to search the city for food and weapons that will aid them in survival.

But, my friends, this is not a game of survival, but a game of wits. Around each tithe's neck will be a collar that contains a black gem. Remove this black gem and its wearer will find themself encased by a multitude of gags, straps and restraints, eliminating him or her from the game.

The collar also disables flight, magic, and other aspects that may give one tithe an unfair advantage over the others. After all, this is a fair tournament.

And as with all our Victor's Cup games, there can only be one tithe standing in the end to be crowned the Victor.

Here are the rules for the games:
1. At the end of this announcement. registration for tithes will open.
2. If by the registration's closing we do not have six tithes, we will tithe the deficit randomly from the population.
3. These tithes will have a week to prepare for the Cup.
4. Tithes are not to bring anything into the arena.
5. Tithes are not to remove the collar. Attempts to do so will trigger the collar's bondage sequence, eliminating the tithe.
6. Tithes are not to leave the arena's grounds. When within range of the arena boundary, the collar will beep, indicating the boundary. Attempts to leave the boundary will trigger the collar's bondage sequence, eliminating the tithe.
7. The arena will be totally death-free. Murder will not be tolerated. Should this rule be contravened, the perpetrator will be handed over to the law.
8. Should any tithes be found to be in mortal danger, said tithe will be extracted from the arena immediately.
9. There will only be one winner from this tournament. Until then, tithes will not be allowed to leave the arena except for the above exceptions.
10. The winner will be crowned The Victor for this year's Victor's Cup.

Since the previous YCH has been a success, I have decided to open an even-more ambitious project: the Victor's Cup.

In this STORY YCH, you can sign your character up for an epic battle of strength, speed, and cunning in the abandoned city of Krolas.

YCH cost: $30, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

If you are interested, drop me a note titled "The Victor's Cup" with your paypal email (and any questions if you have) and I will add you to the list of tithes. However, if the list is full I will add you to the waiting list instead.

Only one slot will be allowed per person.
If enough people are on the waiting list I may open up more slots.

The tithes of the Victor's Cup

There will be a list of questions I will ask about your character so as to get a feel of your character's personality in order to portray it well within the story. The plot will be crafted around everyone's personalities. People choose to team up, or work alone. There may be betrayals. There may even be a surprise twist. Who knows?

The six tithes will pick random numbers to help decide on the order of elimination within the story, with one and only one winner. As the winner, you will be able to pick one of the two endings:
1. Acquire all the bound tithes as your trophy, or
2. Be captured with my specially-planned ending.

Once the registration is closed, I will send you a personality survey about your character and a Paypal invoice. You have 24 hours to finish the survey and complete the payment or your slot will be given to the next person in the waiting list.
