Tunesday #4: "Carissa"
Since I'm hot garbage and kept up with the original schedule for about a week, I'll be changing Tunesday to simply one day a week on whatever day I can get a round to it (probably Wed/Thurs/Fri as I'm off these days). Once again I'll post a song that I've had on repeat or have always had a special place for.
My musical interest span multiple genres and artists, its going to be inevitable that I post songs you don't like and songs that you . I encourage you to discuss what it is you do or don't like about the song or type of music. Be civil, we're all just here to jam -- music shouldn't be a volatile topic.
Monday, I go into work to find out one our team members had died. She was my age, we were in the same hiring class, we saw each other every day for about 3 or so months. We weren't all that close, but she was part of the pack - as you are when you spend time with a group learning and training. I hardest day at work I've ever had, I cried and kept it together until I cried again and then put it back down until I couldn't again. I couldn't stop thinking about how her husband must have felt, how the rest her family felt, her friends. When I walked into work Monday morning, she was alive, when I rounded the corner to the briefing room she wasn't. That broke me...Christ, what it must have done to them. I was going to ask her for some advice about being in the army as my little cousin will be shipping of to basic in a few short week. She was a strong, forward and admirable human being. We have no information as to how -- but that doesn't really matter to me, she's gone -- thats only message that matters. Life doesn't make sense.
