Adobe flash won't work. Thanks, Google

Okay, so...Adobe decided they won't use flash by 2020, and chrome is not even bothering to allow anybody who has saved flash files to ever-ever-ever-EVER use their files again....
Which means a lot of you who have made cool games and such can pretty much suck the dirtiest parts of Google's bell-end.
If I am wrong, please tell me, because I want to be wrong. I only JUST updated Google chrome 10 minutes ago and now it won't play flash files the way it used to. It won't open the file in a new tab, nothing. Instead it just keeps asking me to download the file. It just won't play at all.
Can anybody help me, please? I am admittedly a little computer/internet illiterate.

I wasn't able to play a few of my .swfs a while back, and went looking. I didn't find a player I liked, but there appeared to be a few out there that would work outside of the browser. If you find one that you like, let me know. If you don't, ping me in a few days I might go looking for one for myself again and can share the results.
