If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe - Carl Sagan New year new month, and that means another round of stories up for selection~ This vote is for my $3 supporters, but here's what January has in store~
Celestial Influence
For a skilled apothecary like Azura, the new year is the perfect time to create a resolution potion. To do so, she opens herself up to the celestial energy surrounding the day and condenses it into a drinkable form. Unfortunately this in not without side effect. The celestial energy is fickle, and in her inexperience left her conduit open. The residual energy seeps into her form, changing her into a now that lactates the mixture she sought to create. Instead of lamenting her mistake, she capitalizes on it and expands her business. She turns herself into one of her own experiments, and with the help of her slime assistant, makes enough of the stuff to last all year.

No Shortcuts
Every so often, Endra gets a persistent customer in her shop looking for shortcuts to their new year’s resolution. In this case, its a chubby wolf looking for help on losing weight. Unwilling to trust a first time customer with the real deal, she hooks him up with an enchanted girdle that will both conceal some of his weight and prevent him from gaining anymore, up to a certain point. The wolf accepts with delight and pays no attention to her explaination, then rushes off to the buffet to celebrate his work around. The garment messes with his appetite as a side effect, which leads him into eating enough to break its limit and burst free on day one. The broken spell only adds more to his weight, destroying the rest of his clothing as well.

Super Wolf Blood Moon
Since acquiring her werewolf “curse,” Dack has done a marvelous job of keeping it under wraps and understanding its nature. Though her research leads are few, she has a loose idea of the time period and civilization it comes from. A little more work points her to a monolith currently on display in a local museum, as luck would have it. Before she can get a chance to investigate it personally, however, the new year’s super wolf blood moon rises and supercharges her affliction. Her mental exercises go out the window as her beastial nature manifests, overpowering her senses with the boost. Her strength and size quadruples, and she narrowly escapes her apartment before bursting free of her patio. Compelled to fetch the monolith, she goes on a destructive tear through the city, eating and crushing anything and everything in her path.

Delayed Gratification
A coyote girl finally gets to celebrate Christmas and New Years. Late. Being forced to work over the holidays she finally finds herself with vacation time and decides to celebrate weeks after the festivities have ended, better late than never, although this proves untrue. Old candies and carbonated alcohol lead to a massive inflation session, and a biiig party balloon for one.
