A story about my art
Ok before moving on, this is a short story as why im not as confident in my art/work as i use to be. it may be sad to some or not all to others be for me it was life changing and hurt me in a really bad way. so yah here we go.
Some people have asked why im always doing free art and very rarely want money for commissions. well we gotta go back a bit ways. Back in my middle school days, i was confident in everything i did, from the way i dressed to the way i drew. Well i was like that all the way up til the end of high school, when it came time for collage and other thing. Now being a big dreamer that i was and the confident i had i thought any school i wanted. Well skip ahead to the time of interview, now I was heading to the meeting with all my art in hand ready for my next big step of my life, well as i entered the meeting room all that changed. Here i was dressed like a high school kid, an over sized jacket, baggy pants and old beat up bag, while everyone else was dressed like high class. After a bit of waiting it was my turn to show them what i had, needless to say i was proud to show what brought but as time went on and with every page turn my confidence slipped away. what was maybe an hour felt like forever to me. The interviewer placed my art book now and which out skipping a beat said he would not accept me in the school. He said that my art as good as it is, was not enough for their school, that they were looking for real talent, not goofy kid doodles.
With that my world come down fast and i was broken like a glass doll. I stopped drawing for years after that. My confidence was all gone. Now flash back about 2 years ago, while attending a con, i got to have a chat with my friends about furry art and such. Later that night, for some reason i felt like drawing the furry i saw at the con that day, and well ever since then im drawing more and more, I completely changed my style of art and am working on it every single day. Maybe one day Ill be back the confidence i once had, but for now, im alright.
Thank you for your time. :)
