The world is not a kind place. The world is a not an easy, soft place that holds your hand and guides you.
And if you’re not watching, life will execute without mercy, a blade against the throat, or a bullet in the head. Life slices you neither for the sake of mending you up, nor for strengthening your bones. Life slices you open to watch you bleed.
In life, people are not all created equal; neither are opportunities. The only equal opportunity is death. There is no use in proclaiming the empty ideal of a level playing field, as there are inherent injustices born into every human creation. Not even nature could make you all equal, so why would you think that man could achieve any better? This is to simply say, life is unfair. Deal with it.
Consequently, there are the people on top and the people who support their diamond studded heels. Within the successful, there are great people and there are ordinary people, but all the people on top had something in common—they cheated. They cheated by luck, and by being born into better privileges. But you know what? YOU are the better. The ordinary people who are successful did so by birthright, with family legacies and trust funds. But true greatness was born with something even better - a brilliant mind. And using their higher intellects, they slithered their way to the top.
Many may find it wrong to flaunt such things but only because they are envious. Those of higher intelligence automatically suffer in consequence of an attack on authority, advantage or privilege. Don’t be thrown off, it is only the unnecessary rage of the masses. Not only are the masses lesser in their own entities, but also they hope to suppress those above them in an attempt to downplay their own failures. They hope to blame their shortcomings on these inherent differences, and limit those greater than themselves.
For those who stood up and yelled at such injustices, they were crushed down, their knees broken. They were tarred and feathered. Those with loud voices were blacklisted, and exiled. Those are the people who talk so loud, yet speak so softly that no one can hear. As smart as you are, there are few of you. And in this world, the majority prevails. The majority are the powerful. Do you not know that you are small and insignificant? That if you openly rage against the machine, the machine will simply roll over you and crush you, along with your dignity, and your hopes?
Why? Because the world is not a kind place and the world does that care it has wronged you.
But there were those who were prejudiced that still made it to the top. Those were the ones who did not cry at the injustices, did not scream at those who wronged them in agony, those who said “No, you are different; you cannot be rich and powerful like us.” They did not look in the mirror and accept that who they were would get in the way of who they would become.
No, they found the sweet crevices, the hidden holes and the weakness of the system and used them. They crushed and folded themselves to fit in the cracks, and slipped right through, but they only slipped up. The exploited and manipulated. When they saw the inexorable barrier that was the system that looked down on them with such disdain, and as their hearts filled with rage, a self evident truth revealed itself to them—that the way to success is not with honesty.
Look at who we are. We are among those born better. And because we are born superior, we are indebted to ourselves our intellect and our creator to defy society , to defeat it. We cannot let the mingling masses snuff out our brilliance. We are born with the capability to succeed so do it by any means necessary. When you have won, it no longer matters how you got there.
They said “no”, but you let the “yes” given to you at birth fuel your fires Though they put up the walls and shackled you in the chains, you used your minds, and surpassed it all. You were nothing, and rose to everything.
And don’t ever let them forget it.
