NY has better medical care and MUCH more affordable rates.

We've already been apart two years and it has sucked royally. We were hoping to build our lives together with the money from the sale of that house. Hey, just seeing this and the previous journal, there is an advice I wanted to give:

Do a fundraiser. Patreon and Ko-Fi are nice for long term support but when you need a larger amount right now to get you out of deep shit a fundraiser works much better. AFAIK people mostly use gofundme.com for personal fundraisers like this.

Then start building that Patreon, because with your art it is reasonable to use Patreon as one of your main income sources but it takes time to get there and takes lot of work, so it is not something to solve your current issues on the short term.

I know the feeling all too well. Asking for money is also a last resort thing for me. But sometimes life is just really being very unfair and unreasonable, and we can't blame ourselves for that. For example, when my kitty was diagnosed with epilepsy, and she needed a very expensive brain scan so that we can tell if she has brain damage or not, and figure out a plan for medication, I did end up doing a fundraiser. There was no way I could have afforded that scan otherwise.

You first got screwed over by homophobic bastards, and now this guy... I think nobody would judge you if you turned to fundraising to get out of this situation.

He is toxic like our "beloved" orange president. Think of a radioactive isotope-he WILL poison everything around him, friend or foe. In the end, only schemers and toxic people hoping to somehow take advantage like himself will be left. He will die alone, or surrounded by the same poison that he has done to others.

The best you can do is flee at the first opportunity and mentally remove him from existence as soon as possible. Being mad about him is like being mad at a piece of rock-it's not worth the energy, and in fact allows him some level of control over you-with a personality like that, that is what he wants. I don't think liens work that way. The interest and penalties are past the statute of limitations but the lien itself doesn't have a SoL. Real kick in the pants- Monsignor Dickbag KNOWS the SoL is past on the interest and penalties but he's still pursuing them anyway just to hold us up. My GF of eight years, who is dying and falling deeper into medical debt every day she spends in FL, has been held up for an extra two months because of this colossal douche.

Now, she could have another year, she could have another ten years. We don't know. But every day she isn't up here with me makes things worse in many ways. We've already been apart for two years and we were expecting to build our lives together with the money we got from the sale of her house.

It's extraordinarily rare for someone to get to be that rich through any combination of ingenuity, hard work, determination, discipline, and kindness. It pretty much boils down to having both the resources and willingness to be in a perpetual state of fucking-over anyone you can get your hands on just for the sake of extracting every penny you can out of them. ANd the worst part is that society doesn't even look at it for what it is. They look at the end, use it to romanticize the means. They'll call creeps like that "Go-getters" and "Winners", paint their sociopathic tendencies as some twisted symbol of personal strength, and then elect them president. Those kinds of people usually get what they want, but sometimes, they get what they deserve. It's okay to derive some twisted schadenfreude when the latter happens, but in the end of the day, when the former happens instead, we can't let it ruin our lives. We should not allow others' relative misery to dictate our relative success, lest we become *exactly* the same as these scumbags.
