As the end of 2019 is slowly getting near, it’s time again for Music for Life.
Just like the previous years, we are going to participate again with a charity furwalk!

We obtained the necessary permits for fursuiting in public, so now we can officially announce that the MFL furwalk will again take place in Hasselt on the 14nd of december.

For the people that are new to this concept, we will do a fursuit walk in the city while collecting money for charity. That way we can do something for the good cause while doing what we do best and have fun.

- Plant een bos:
The goal of this good cause is to create more forests in Flanders by buying and maintaining land and planting trees. This is all with the help of volunteers who take matters in their own hands in these times of climate change and a lack of action from the government. http://www.planteenbos.be/index.php
- Regenbooghuis Limburg:
Regenbooghuis Limburg is a safe haven for people from the LGBTQ+ community. They also aim to better inform the big public about gender- and sexuality diversity and everything that comes with it. https://www.regenbooghuislimburg.be
- Cosydogs:
The volunteers and their dogs of Cosydogs go visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools for people with special needs and families on a regular basis. Their goal is to transfer the therapeutic power of dogs to people and to break isolation. https://www.cosydogs.be

And now some practical information:
The meet will take place in Hasselt on saturday the 14nd of december.
We will gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein” right in front of the library.
The best way to get to the Dusartplein is either by car or by train. There’s a car park underneath the Kolonel Dusartplein (Qpark, €2 per hour) or on the Koning Boudewijnlaan (free, but a 10min walk from the Dusartplein) From the train station there’s a shuttle bus every 10 minutes (de boulevard-pendel – De Lijn). The name of the bus stop is “Hasselt Dusartplein.”
A place where the suiters can get dressed and where you can store your belongings safely will be provided. We’ll wait for 15-30min for everyone to arrive before we go inside.
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing.
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again.
At 18:00h we reserved a table at “het Borrelhuis” for dinner. After that, we can go to “Winterland” and have some jenevers, or have a drink elsewhere.

If you like to join us for dinner, please subscribe by leaving a comment below. We only have 20 spots, so don’t wait too long. If the 20 spots are taken, we will start up a waiting list. We can always try to reserve additional spots, but that’s no guarantee.
Also, to help out the restaurant, we were asked to keep our menu choices limited. If you like to join for dinner, please make your choice from the list below, so we can let the restaurant know in advance what we will order.

You can subscribe for a dinner spot until Wednesday 11/12/2019. After that, new submissions will not be added to the list. Please consider in advance whether or not you want to join us for dinner. If you are not on the list, there will be no spot for you at the restaurant. Also, a kind reminder to bring enough cash with you (including some small change) so you can pay for your meal with the right amount.

Very important:
The police department asked to provide a list of all fursuiters.
If you like to join us and you are going to suit, please send us your (real) name, nickname, species and a picture of your fursuit. You can send this info to us via PM or via telegram. (@SailorVinnie, @Inkignito, or @Dice_Border_Collie)
We need this info by wednesday evening 4/12/2019, so we can send the list on thursday. Fursuiters who don’t provide this info by wednesday are not allowed to suit in public, and thus can’t join us on the walk!!!

For the fursuiters; make sure your suit is in good condition and representable.
Luckily we never had to do it before, but we can deny suiters who don’t fit this description.

For the non-fursuiters; we are in need of spotters! If you want to volunteer, please do let us know, it will be greatly appreciated!
Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in spotting, You’re not alone when doing this job and a lot of experienced spotters are always willing to help.

And last but not least; a quick reminder that we have a TOS . By coming to our meet, we will presume you have read and agreed to these terms.
