Wolf Pet dies, and will be Resurrected.

The Wolf Pet rewrite is posing major problems. There is actually a lot wrong with that story. It was one of my earliest stories, been rewritten about 20 times, and I feel certain things don't quite work. The main issue is the huge info dump. There are just too many things which are told, but not shown. There are some subplots which I've brought up in the narrative, and couldn't explore, further, due to pacing issues. So ultimately, Wolf Pet cannot be a novella.

Rewritten 20 times? Maybe you can try hiding your notes away from yourself and rewrite it off the top of your head.

I've been having a lot of problems with this novella for a long time. This definitely didn't feel finished. It felt too much like going to a movie and finding out that I missed the first two-thirds of the show, and having the person in the next seat try to give me a rundown on what I missed. An example, I mentioned how, early on, Don's owner injured him badly while trying to train him to assume the submissive position. It's now a full scene, where his owner almost kills him.
