If you're the kind of person who gushes over high calibre elite artwork and then go silent and be like crickets when someone like me who makes slow improvements over time shares something, you're part of a problem I have here.
I share a WIP to people and I get no response yet you take the time to shower the artist elite with praise, kindly detach you mouth out from their ass.
You can call this jealousy, you can call it sour grapes but I am getting sick to death of seeing my efforts go to waste because you all got your fill from that one artist you kiss up to just to get them to draw you.
I'm fed up with putting everything into my work and not feeling valued for it while someone takes ages to draw something is treated like the messiah.
Sorry I'm not your favourite elite artist.

I'm of course being acerbic but for the purpose of making the point that it's not about who's better than you or who gets the most feedback. If you're not creating the kind of art about which you yourself are passionate then you're wasting your time regardless of how much praise you garner. Yes I understand that positive feedback is appreciated but do your art for your own sake first and let others come to discover it at their own pace.
And you know what. you are, in my eyes, better than Him.
Hm, who is elite artist, by the way? I just never see being so jealous of other success.
Don't take me wrong, I understand that acception of artist means much for him in community, but please, calm down.
There are still people who like your art anyway and always be with you :)
