It happens! I know it seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes if you're getting burned out and are behind for whatever reason, it helps to actually take some time for yourself, whether it's a day or a weekend or something, completely away from work, to rest and refresh -- and you end up clearing your queue faster than you would otherwise if you'd tried to just work through being pressed too hard.

from my experiences i've only had 2 commissioners since 2009 get grumpy with me for taking too long. so like 99% of us are super cool, willing to wait, especially when someone posts a journal like this informing us. So dont worry your pretty head over things. Furries are cool like that

Unfortunately no, at the first seizure we thought it was an allergic reaction to fleas since she had them at the time, took a lot of baths and daily house cleaning, and she seemed fine for a good 4 months or so, then she got it again, but it was very small and she was back on her feet in a few minutes, and the other 2 after that were the same thing, but they were more than 2 months apart sot he doctor didn't want to put her on any meds, but the last seizure she had was just heartbreaking, it took her a good 2 hours before she could start walking again, and a good 3 days before she even recognized us again, the entire time she was aggressive and hissing, but she's back to her loving cuddly self, the only thing that's stuck with her now is that she has a bit of a limp in her step and she's not as agile as she used to be, she needs help getting up to certain places and such now.

Trust me we've tried everything, from changing food, to her shampoo, to giving her meds that are only purely organic, to changing our cleaning supplies, to restricting her from certain parts of the house that we thought might trigger it ( like the beeping microwave etc ), but nothing we do helped, she kept having them.

The doctor said it's just an unfortunate thing when it comes to cats and dogs, they can just have them and there would be no real underlying reason behind it.

So she's on very small dosages of sedatives now, which she has to take every 12 hours to keep it in her system, for the rest of her life, but at least she's being a good girl and taking her meds no problem.

god thats awful....it sounds like human seizures, some people just have them. Awful sh** to go through. she is blessed to have you guys, instead of immediately tossing her into a shelter you are taking care of her. the world needs more responsible pet owners like you

Even if it ever got to the point that she has to wear diapers, be spoonfed and I have to carry her around I will stick by her til the very end, she's brought so much joy into my life, she's helped me so much with my depression and done so much for me by just being here.

Plus you know as the saying goes, they may be a part of our lives, but for them we're their whole life, and I can't for the life of me ever imagine leaving any of my babies at a shelter or whatever.
