Capitol Kerfuffle

Honestly I wasn't planning on making this journal but at the same time... fuck it, if the staff of fA are going to put a politically charged message in site news why not? Even though I'd rather be here for art than for politics...
What happened on January 6th 2021 was no terrorist attack. It was not an armed insurrection, nor a coup. Trust me, with DC banning firearms for the day and considering the rate of firearm ownership among Trump supporters, we'd know. It wouldn't be the uncoordinated mess we saw.
But to call it a terrorist attack implies planning, it implies that there was a goal in mind. And if that's the case, this was one of the worst executed in history. So many videos I've seen show one or two people who know what they are doing while everyone stands around in bewilderment. The only people afraid are the very politician who should be afraid of the people, we should not be the ones afraid of them.
And now there are voices calling to ban all conservatives from the internet, from social media, and for their expulsion from Congress. That is not how you fix this divide. That is how you make it worse. But go ahead, create your echo chambers. Listen to the media who all bend to one side. They came for conservatives first, who'll they come for next?
I proudly voted for Trump both times. I saw the fact that a man less popular than both Obama and Hillary, the Left's golden girl, some how won more votes than either of them. I watch as politicians defy their own lock-down orders while small businesses die during this “pandemic”. I can see that Biden is little more than a figurehead who can barely string a complete sentence together. We needed this to be the cleanest election in history, but instead we got a fraud riddled fiasco. How do you move forward when some 74 million people no longer have faith in our election system and the people in power refuse to investigate the claims of fraud?
All I can really do is encourage you to step outside your echo chambers and do your own research. Don't trust the media, and check out both sides. The truth might just be crazier than fantasy. Otherwise just live and let live.

You've actually done a good job of justifying so far.
I may be a Democrat now, but I was originally a Republican. Then came Drumpfpth.
Technically, I'm a moderate.
