Shep is dying slowly in hospice. After his large brain bleed a few days ago he has not recovered and the hospital doctors prognosis was absolutely grim.

Several members of his family have been staying with him non stop, and a group of us from the mob were able to spend a few hours yesterday.

The hospice facility held a small ceremony in his room to honor him for his service in the USMC where he was presented with a woven blanket featuring the Marine Corps EGA logo and a small plaque.

We have no idea how long he can hang on for, but we've told him not to hang around for our sakes, just to move on and rest.

I apologize for delays in news on Ted to everyone.

Watching my closest friend die has been very tough on me mentally. My already bad insomnia has been worse and I started a new job, all at once.

Please let me explain to you how much Ted appreciated all of you who were his fans and friends.
He did not speak much but it was never out of any sort of malice, it's a family trait of stoicism he inherited.
He cared very deeply for his friends and appreciated all of your support in his artistic endeavors.

Appreciate your efforts in communicating in a heavy emotional time and writing in a coherent heartfelt manner.

The lingering slow suffering has to be the most painful to all in his circle.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know. Yourself and his friends and family have my deepest sympathies at this most difficult time.

Inspite the very disheartening prognosis, I'll still keep praying and sending thee positive waves.

Ted died a little after 1pm today.

......damn...... At least he's no longer suffering.

Gonna miss him.

In his state I unfortunately think that was the "best", can't see anybody get past this without hard consequences and no one, him comprised, would have wanted that I think.

And to say I sent him an email the first day  marmelmm posted a journal about his condition, he never would read...

I still don't fully realize everything but I sure know I already miss him and regret so much not having communicated more lately. The pizza cats comics I bought him decades ago certainly gained a special valueall of a sudden. He will always be in my heart and in my thoughts.

And thank you for all you did for him, and to inform us.

Well we hoped and prayed, and he fought valiantly. He is at least free of the pain and suffering
