Today in the grass, Godzilla has passed away. While in his outdoor enclosure to protect him from any birds or other animals he presumably had a stroke or seizure and finally died. This is not exactly a surprise since he has been losing weight and drinking large amounts of water at around one in the morning for a while now so I knew this was really only a time thing. He died surrounded by grass and clover in a nice warm place with sun and shade. Im not sure if it was peaceful or painful, but it was done before I could do anything to ease his passing.

My only idea of the cause is that a tumor or something formed from the surgery to remove his eye due to the corneal cyst. In short, eyeball becomes pimple and had to be removed. Operation went well but probably something later on in the healing process went wrong causing this.

If you have guinea pigs know that drinking large amounts of water combined with losing mass is a definite sign of degrading health, and take them to a vet.

Rest well Godzilla, once the biggest fucking guinea pig ive ever seen.
