Status update on Starfall chapter 5.
Well, I've had my first week of the new position. It's different and in a better place. air conditioned and less 'manual' than the last one. As in not expected to move objects of obscene weight like the last one. But I don't know how stable I am there.
I'm still hitting myself over the mistakes i'm making as I am learning and hoping I didn't sink it before I even started. That being said the fact it has set hours is something that i'm still, in kinda awe of having. As much as I hated the 'when we feel like' of the old position, i had gotten used to it. I'm still also getting used to the new sleep schedule.
But i do love getting home at 4:30ish pm now. Because of this i have 'chapter 5:Welcome to earth?' written and i am in the process of editing it. I am trying a new style, instead of [spoken word] [action] with plain action. it's a mix of [action] [spoken or thought words] [action] or [action] [spoken or thought words]. We'll see if that makes readability better.
There's also no way around it, this chapter will be an info-dump chapter, and since part of Starfall is political, so this chapter will have some politics in it.
I will state here, and on the post of the chapter it's self. that I may or may not agree with the politics as laid out in the story for the bio-morph world circa 2100, you know the standard c.y.a. shit. Yet i can understand it. Only my close friends know my political affiliation. What you do know is i am no fan of this sjw purity spiral shit though.
Okay with that out of the way, there are two main influences that i have used to form this. The first one is starship troopers, NO not the movie, the movie only gives a partial nod to the views of the book. The series is the liberty, free choice, and nationalism counter to the obvious heavily influenced by communism of the star trek universe. A decent breakdown of this can be found here. https://www.bitchute.com/video/kVpYvV0O7uI/
The other is a late 19th, and early 20th century quote that I've forgotten the book it came from. 'For a liberal government to exist, the state must have a monopoly on violence.' Keep in mind these are 19th(1800-1899) and early 20th(1900-1912 or so) terms.
when they say liberal they mean liberty. A government that ensures liberty to it's people. And when they say a monopoly of violence. They mean the power to enforce laws, crime and punishment, etc. So it basically means this. For a government that provides rights and liberty to it's people, it MUST be the only organization determining what's a crime and dispensing punishment. So for the good of the people in the state, any organization that attempts to step in front of it, and apply their own set of crime and punishment must be eliminated as a threat to that state.
Gangs, Religous sects, political parties, subversive ideologies( for example, both forms of collectivists ie communism and fascism, non-compatible forms of democratic rule like pure democracy, democratic socialist(communist lite btw) or parliamentarians. those who wish religious rule like theocratic, biblical rule, shrira law, toranic law etc.) must be wiped out.
anyway, i should have the chapter out at LEAST by next weekend.
