Hey all.

At the end of March last year, I joined the California Health Corps in an effort to help treat COVID-19 Patients. I'm not going to go into depth about it as I really don't like talking about it. I am talking about it with a few doctors as I've been mentally strained from the events.

I will soon be working for the Fullerton Joint Union High School District and transitioning away from my previous position.

I've been active in VR (Quest 2 hooked up to PC via Virtual Desktop) on and off, depending on how tired I am or if I was working. I've had little communication physically with folks as I was deemed 'high-risk' due to where I worked and what I was doing and didn't want to put anyone in danger. VR has helped immensely. I'm still active with WoW Classic - Grobbulus as a raid lead and FFXIV on Hyperion and Sargatanas.

Much of my time, though, was spent painting my Tyranids these last couple months and sprucing up my Imperial Guard army for Warhammer 40k. I should post pictures, probably.

I feel good overall. I still get pretty stressed and have my moments but overall I'm pretty good.

I just wanted friends to know I registered and joined the California Health Corps in an effort to help combat the virus that has been sweeping across the world.

I became a nurse to help people. And that's what I'm going to do. I know it's dangerous and I risk infection myself, but I swore an oath when I became a nurse and I intend to fulfill it despite the risk.

Just want to say I love you all in case some traumatic happens. I'll be taking all the precautions I can, of course.

Edit: Kinda noticed this was the day before April Fools. Just want folks to know it wasn't an early joke or anything.

I'm not gonna go into anything long winded but. It was great. Last night was an interesting one but all I can say is that I'm happy everything turned out okay in the end.

Was great to suit in something I made for the first time. I think I can adjust things to make it better before BLFC but I'm not gonna stress about it. Working two jobs then coming home to work on my suit was draining and I'm ready to refill my coffers and relax.

I;m currently still in Dallas and I have an eighteen hour drive on Friday I'll be starting. everyone I met was amazing and I'll probably edit this journal later to include them.

My only regret was not getting photo done on the second level in suit. But it's alright. Everything else was fantastic.

If anyone finds or sees any pictures of me, lemme know. I appreciate it. A part of me is probably saying I'm on BadFursuits dot com or something but I'm proud of myself for what I did and I had plenty of compliments.

It's full of nothing.

Work is going a lot better the last few months. Several people left and I feel it's really helped the office out a lot. Maybe. Still doing Dermatology.

Still doing falconry and had a total of 18 rabbits this season. Drone is getting better and I really think this next year he'll be a lot better than this one. Probably not going to cons for awhile: The travel makes such things impossible except for 1 day visits since work is very stingy about when we get off. I'll be attending Blizzcon with a lot of my guild this year:  Kyowai  Hapaidah  Galis  hiveworm  Zephyrr  rhedin . It's looking to be a lot of fun.

I've also been GMing a pathfinder game for the last two months and really enjoying it. I'd like to run another for people, maybe. At least for friends I know who won't be bitches and rage or just drop and leave. But. We'll see.

Swimming with pooltoys. IT's been hot. Tegu is doing well.

And looking for art commissions for things. I've been wanting to go on an art spree for my characters but I really don't know what to get.

Also; Playing Overwatch, being salty that no one I know want to do Challenge Mode Golds on wow so I'm going to pay for a carry as it's the one thing I wanted to do all expansion and didn't get done and I'm running out of time swiftly.

Decided to deliver a little update since I haven't said much since RF.

Lots of good things going on. I recently was hired for a Dermatology office. I will be assisting the Doctor with surgeries to remove skin cancer as well as various treatments. So fa,r I'm loving it and it's keeping me very busy.

This upcoming week is both FC and the California Hawking Club's annual meet. It just happens to fall on the same exact time frame as each other. I decided I'll be devoting most of my time to the CHC meet as that is something very important to me. I may show up to FC on one of the days as they are fairly close to one another but my priority is the CHC meet this year and hunting with my Red-tail.

Other than that, things are going pretty well for the most part. Enjoying life and such. I will be making an alternate account for my outcast arakkoa (Which everyone seems to either love or hate as he is an Outcast and not a "pretty, sexy Adherent" but I really don't care. Outcasts are my favorite so. Whatevers. His name is Rirokkaz.

I'm not ignoring anyone on IMs or what-have-you. I have a Red-tailed hawk that requires plenty of attention, time and training to ensure he's ready to hunt with me. I'm not ignoring you. I'm not passing you off, I'm just really occupied right now. Once he is fully flying and hunting I will have more time opened up, but right now he gets my full attention. In addition, I'm also working a job and applying/interviewing for nursing jobs. My socialization time is quite nil.

I'm a quarter of a century now.

Short journal cause I'm working with my bird. Got some cool gifts from friends on here (Which haven't been posted, ell, one has. But.) Thanks to all who wished me a Happy Day of Hatching and anyone else that decides to!

FC was a blast. Not going into little details but I just wanted to say that to everyone that made it memorable. I would go into a list (And I know pretty much everyone's name) but I'm way too exhausted still. Especially from this morning when I was out hawking for 8 hours and came home empty handed before having to rush to work right after.

Regardless of having no hawk to show, I still had a great time, my sponsor was certainly disappointed we didn't get anything. I got to hold a Haggard(Adult) bird though and that was -awesome-! Also got to see 6-7 redtails fight over a single bit of food one had caught; And that's just one of the reasons why 1 in 5 don't make it to their first moult. They truly are amazing avians and I can't wait to work with one. Fate obviously has something planned; Let's just see what it is.

So. Thank you ALL I met and spent time with at FC this weekend. Thank you for making it worth the 6-7 hour drive even when I was exhausted the first day and leaving me with memories to mull over for the 6-7 drive back so I could sleep a bit for hawking for 8 hours the next day. :P

The reason why I need to leave Sunday now is that on MONDAY I will be trapping my own Red-Tail hawk for Falconry purposes. The Feds called and said they are processing my paperwork and sending my license. I told my sponsor and he'll be home on Sunday and Monday we are trapping. He would do it now but he's in Nevada at the California Hawking clubs annual field meet. Unfortunately, this may be my -only- FC ever attended because Falconry will take precedence right under my job as a nurse which I'll be getting the license for within a few weeks as well! Phew!

And all this going on and my Birthday is on the 25th of this month. Talk about an amazing Birthday this year compared to the rather rough one I had last year.

Crazy these last few months I'll just go with the main things and make it short and sweet:

1. I took my nursing licensing test last month on the 17th and supposedly passed. We'll find out when the papers actually get here.

2. I sent in my paperwork to get my falconry license and will be getting it in a matter of weeks as well. Super excited for this as is my sponsor. The group of falconers I hang out with is eagerly awaiting the day I get my license so we can go get me a Red-Tail Hawk. c:

3. Minor things here and there that I don't recall.

I also should apologize as these things have made me less talkative of late. In addition, earlier this month, one year ago, my dad passed ago. So. It's still a very emotional time for me and my mother who still struggle day to day. Still, I'm quite proud of what I accomplished this year.

So much to say, so I'll get right down to it as it was.

Each day I'm steadily getting better. My step-fathers birthday is approaching which will, no doubt, be a hard day for me.

I've endured a lot this year; Death of three family members, my dog, and my guinea pig, I've been going to school nonstop with little times for breaks, trudging through said classes one day at a time... In just 4 months times, it'll have been a year. And despite my suffering and intense states of depression, of sleepless nights and frustrated mornings...

I've endured. I still have issues: Mostly, I'm horribly lonely but I'm hoping to make some friends nearby I can meetup with. My nursing class has been a wonderful addition to that; We're already planning monthly gatherings with my close-close friends. I still would like to know some furs in SoCal (I haven't gone out a lot to any meets or whatever; Frankly, I'm a bit intimidated as I can be fairly boring; No drinking or smoking for me.) Yet, I've been getting better.

But. There's a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

I graduate next week. Yup. Good times. Yay. Does it mean the end of school? Definitely not. but. I'm at least done with this long, arduous leg of my journey. A new chapter begins then, really.

I'll be attending RF with  icansee next month and look forward to seeing many people I know. I hope it's a great trip.

My mom and I are planning on going on a trip somewhere. We really next to get out.

And... I'm going to be getting my falconry license. I've been working on my own, using leather and material to practice making gear I'll need. I'm excited and this is something I've wanted for a long time. My dad and I were actually going to become apprentices together but... Well... He passed away. Since, I've been... Adamant about doing this. He told me after I graduated we'd go do it all together.

I'm attempting to keep a confident attitude on things and try and avoid things that tend to prey on my depression and make it worse.

I feel like I had much more to say before writing this, but I think.. I forgot. Oops.

My grandma passed this afternoon. Knew it was coming. We all did. I got to see her before she passed while she was in the same sort of comatose state my dad was in.

Hard for me. I'll never forget her and how she helped raise me. How she sheltered my mom and I after my mom an left abusive relationship. I'm thankful she passed, though. Brain Tumor/Cancer is a horrible, painful experience. She's free of pain now. She promised to kick my dad in the rear before she passed, too, about two weeks ago for leaving us early.

No more bad news for a while, please. I've reached my quota.

Thanks to those that kept me in their thoughts. Means a lot to me. And I'm so sorry for seemingly only having bad news for these last few months. I'm really, really hoping that nothing but good news for awhile.

I will be sparse the next few days. My grandma was admitted again to the hospital for having a blood clot in her head, most likely from the surgery she received to biopsy her brain tumor. Due to the tumor they cannot operate and it's essentially a matter of time before she passes. She's on a ventilator currently.

I may be on messengers, but don't expect me to always respond. Some people have already caused unneeded stress on my life and I really don't need anymore. I've lost my dog and my step-father and I'm losing my grandmother all within a 5-6 month span. MY emotions are wonky. That doesn't mean you can't message me; I would like to be messaged, but please leave the drama at the door.

Overall, I'm an absolute mess.

I can't get a break.

No. Seriously, I can't.

MY Grandma is currently in the Hospital ICU. She apparently has a brain tumor that is giving her issues with her walking and such. I will be going there early this afternoon with my mom. I'm fine for now, but ugh. I wish I'd get a break already... So much has happened in the last few months that I'm really just emotionally drained.

I got a 98% on my Cardiovascular System/Diseases/Interventions/etc Final, though. And I'm doing well in class. Anyway. Be sure to check my last journal to get your chance to be in a YCH auction. <3s and stuff.
