Clash in Duel World pt. 6ß (The Real Rocky Balebone) Lies
Hey readers! Anthony Writer here with a new addition to the story.
Sorry it's been a while. I couldn't decide on which direction to go with this so I made two sets of Pt. 6 "The Real Rocky Balebone" in the forms of Truth (∂) and Lies (ß).
Also my classes are going well, but just like always they're taking up too much of my time.
You shouldn't be reading this story unless you've read this section first. (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/8657958/)

Clash in Duel World
Pt: 6ß The Real Rocky Balebone: Lies
Five years ago…
A grey furred Rattata man had finally finished recovering from his injuries. It was a strange thing that he had a scar-like tattoo the shape of a snake that ran all around his body. His face was blackened beyond any recognition and his dental records couldn’t help ID him as he lost too many teeth. When he arrived the doctors were puzzled about who had brought him in and had bandaged him so childishly with gauze. The only clue was a note that said, “leave this hospital and the germs will get you.”
Obviously, some crazed maniac had brought him in. It was a very bad idea for the doctors to read the note out loud. Upon hearing the note, the patient had to be sedated constantly.
Still, the John Doe Pokémorph wouldn’t leave the hospital. He couldn’t after all. He was sent to the psych ward when the doctors realized that the poor rodent clearly had a nervous break down and would only say, “the germs will get me. The germs will get me.”
Clearly, he needed some “Special help” for his problems.
Eight weeks prior to this…
Marshal’s doctor was Dr. Theodore Bensley. He was a Ratatta morph, which was odd for someone of his age. Not many people see a Ratatta with grey hair. He had been missing for the past five years, but no one really missed him. That was my doing and I had to do it. I had to stop that man from stealing from his patients. I don’t know why I did it. I had three other siblings. Protecting others is almost second nature to me…
That day I baited the Doc with my own “special deck”. He actually snuck into our room and took a deck. No, not my deck. He took Marshal’s. He didn’t even bother with mine. He passed right by, looked through Marshal’s deck, and pocketed it. Somehow, that made me more angry than before. I decided to confront him that night with the tape recording that I made.
“It’s fake,” Dr. Bensley scoffed at the electronic I held.
“Are you really willing to take that chance.,” I smirked at him. The doctor leaped forward with a Quick Attack, but it was too obvious of a move. I ducked down and tripped him. Dr. Bensley face planted with the ground as I made certain there was a distance between the two of us again. I took out a spare Duel Disk and slid it to his feet, “nice effort, but if you want my silence you’re going to have to Duel me for it.”
“And how do I know that you’ll keep your word,” Dr. Bensley looked up at me.
“The same way that I know you’ll keep yours,” I raised a violet stone before the doctor.
“A shadow pendant…,” Dr. Bensley diverted his eyes. I found it strange that he knew what it was, “fine. I win, I get the tape and I’ll make certain to take good care of you.”
“Its a deal then,” I said dropping the stone and setting up my own Duel Disk.
Dr. Bensley loaded his deck in and set up the old Duel Disk. I figured he’d like it, but he seemed to be having trouble with it. I was about to offer to help him, but it suddenly came to life. He took his stance, ready for me.
“I suppose that I won’t have to tell you the rules of a Shadow Game, right?”
“Duel!”
“I’m taking the first turn,” the cruel doctor drew his card, “I set a monster and play one card face down.”
“Then it’s my turn. Draw,” I drew my card before finally looking at my hand. When I did, I was shocked. These weren’t my cards at all. I don’t have cards like these in my deck. I’d never do that. But then, I remember the deck that my siblings made for me. I must have grabbed it by mistake. My side deck is the same, but I didn’t know how well this deck could function.
“Monkey see monkey do, so I play my own monster in Defense Mode,” I played Card Blocker. My sister (Kat’s) little purple warrior appeared out of the ground before me. He fearfully hid behind his shield when he saw where he was. (400/400) “don’t worry, we’ll make it out of this. And I’ll return you to your owner soon.” Card Blocker nodded his head at me before focusing on the good doc. “I’ll end by playing one card face down.”
“Don’t tell me you’re going to talk to your cards as if they’re alive the whole duel,” Bensley took the top card, “Because if you don’t take care of your sickness then it’s only going to spread.” I didn’t like the way that he smiled, but his strategy would be a different story. “I summon Ameba!” He placed his card on the field and a ominous blue liquid seeped out of the cracks of the hospital floor and materialized into one giant blob. (300/350)
“A monster like that can’t beat Card Blocker,” I said, before thinking to myself, even with Card Blocker’s normal defense strength.
“I know that,” Bensley played a magic card from his hand, “Which is why I play Shien’s Spy. This allows me to shift control of one of my monsters to your side of the field. I pick Ameba of course.”
The blob moved its way over to my side of the field. At first it was sickeningly slow, but the blob suddenly jumped at me surrounding me in it’s sickening embrace, “AHHHHHHH!”
“Did I forget to mention, Ameba’s ability allows it to deal 2000 damage to the opponent when it’s control shifts to them,” the doctor laughed. When it was over the blob removed itself from me and plopped itself down next to Card Blocker. Card Blocker looked at the extensive damage that was done to my body. I could swear that I had broken a few bones. My skin certainly was blackened in many places. I couldn’t even open my left eye. Card Blocker quickly scooted away from the deadly blob. “If I were you I’d give up now.”
“It’s okay,” I smiled as I got back up to my feet, “I know it’s not your fault Ameba.”
The blob responded to me by wiggling up and down. It wasn’t it’s fault that it had such a powerful ability.
“Oh God, there you go again,” the doctor yelled, “You want me to end this quickly then I will. I switch my facedown monster into attack mode.” His next monster was Giant Germ. A much bigger blob than Ameba, but dark violet in color. (1000/100) “Now for my Battle Phase,” the doctor pointed towards his own Ameba, “Sense, the effects of Shein’s Spy only lasts for one turn. I wouldn’t want you to use Ameba’s effect against me. I’ll destroy Ameba and take out 700 more of your lifepoints!”
The Giant Germ’s attack was much faster than Amebas. Card Blocker braced himself for the splatter of the two goop monsters.
“Card Blocker, we don’t give up on our comrades,” I shouted, he nodded as if he understood, “I activate Card Blocker’s ability! He has the ability to intercept your Germ’s attack.”
“So what? You’ll still lose a monster.”
“That may be true, but it wont be Card Blocker,” I said discarding three cards from the top of my deck, “I discard three cards from the top of my deck so that Card Blocker’s Defensive power increases by 500 for each one.” Card Blocker’s Shield quadrupled in size as the Giant Germ leaped for it’s strike. The Germ bounced off the shield and was thrown back into the good doctor’s face.
Bensley’s face was completely blackened and his lab coat was burned off the top and fell to the floor as he stood back up, “if that’s the way you want to play, then I play Attack and Receive!” His Trap Card reveiled two warriors attacking each other on it’s face. One of the swords from the warriors flew out of his hands and headed straight for me.
“I can activate this card when I receive damage,” Bensley explained, as I deflected the blade off of my Duel Disk, “It allows me to take a seven hundred point chip out of your own lifepoints.”
“I already know that,” I shouted back. It’s not like I didn’t have that card myself.
“Now that my turn’s over, Ameba returns to my side of the field,” Bensley motioned to the monster before reveling a trap card with a trio of women who stood around in prayer, “but thanks to my Waboku, I won’t lose any lifepoints.”
“That’s not how...,” I paused when I realized that this guy was a worse duelist than he was a doctor, “I mean, Oh no! It’s my turn now,” I drew my card, “and I play Armor Breaker!” A toy ninja man phased onto the field from the floor. His head had a huge mallet attached to his helmet. (800/800) Armor Breaker was my brother Jack’s favorite of the set. “Also, thanks to you, I have a Spell Card in my Graveyard to remove, so that I can Special Summon Spell Striker to the field!” Spell Striker was my other sister (Chelsea’s) favorite of the set. A toy Viking warrior burst appeared in a flash of light (600/200). The two newer monsters acknowledged their comrade to the field. Card Blocker was overjoyed to see them both. He was crying.
“What a childish deck,” Bensley smiled to himself, “it’s weak, silly and frankly, goofy looking. It suits you perfectly.”
“I’m glad you think that way,” I said, remembering that my siblings had said the same thing, “except it’s stronger than you give it credit for. I equip Armor Breaker to my Spell Striker.”
“Monsters can’t equip themselves to other monsters. Don’t be stupid,” Bensley burst out, before Armor Breaker leaped into the air and transformed into a real mallet for my magical viking.
“Looks like it works to me,” I smiled, “Especially since it’s part of his Special Ability. Now Armor Breaker doesn’t increase Spell Striker’s attack, but he gives Spell Striker the ability to destroy a card whenever he deals lifepoint damage.”
“I suppose that you’ll be attacking my Ameba huh,” Bensley slid a Quickplay Spell onto the field, “Rush Recklessly raises my Ameba’s attack by 700 points.” His Spell appeared onto the field with a charging boar on the face. Also not a card I’m familiar with. The Ameba vibrated with a a great power that the spell card provided to it. (1000/350)
“Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you,” I tried to hold back my laughter, “but I wasn’t aiming for Ameba to begin with. Spell Striker has the ability to attack you directly. It’s payback for forcing Ameba into eating me alive.” Card Blocker gave me a look. “It’s also for making Card Blocker feel helpless.” Card Blocker nodded happily, “Go Spell Striker!” My monster leaped into the air and bashed Dr. Bensley’s face flat. After Striker returned to my side of the field he glowed with soft orange light.
“Now for Armor Breaker’s ability,” I pointed to Giant Germ, “I choose to destroy that monster!” Giant Germ shattered into a million pieces of orange light.
Bensley spat out a few of his teeth, “Yeah, but now you’ll lose 500 lifepoints and-”
“Wrong,” I buzzed, “Giant Germ’s effect only activates when it’s destroyed by battle, nimrod.”
“What did you call me?”
“You heard me,” I said silently placing a couple cards facedown, “For someone with a doctor’s degree, you sure are dumb. Not that I’m surprised.” This guy must have allowed others to do his work and take his blame for his entire career, possibly his life. He might have even piggybacked on someone else’s hard work just to get his Degree. Just like he does with his monsters.
“If that’s what you think,” Dr. Bensley drew his card, Ameba shrunk back down to it’s normal size (300/350), “then how about I finish you off right now.”
“You sure that Spell Striker didn’t hit you too hard with Armor Breaker just now?”
“I’m not playing with you any more kid,” Bensley played another spell card, but not a new one, “Remember Shein’s Spy? With this, I get to shift Ameba to your side of the field and you know what that means…”
“You mean 2000 points of damage,” I asked, completely unafraid of the blob that was now moving it’s way to my side of the field. The blob bounced happily next to my warriors. Card Blocker welcomed Ameba back with a smile.
“What are you doing,” Dr. Bensley stomped his foot, pointing at me, “Attack him!”
“Oh, looks like someone’s forgotten the importance of reading,” I mocked the doctor, “See, if you actually got to know Ameba then you’d realize, like I did, that its effect only activates once so long as it’s on the field.”
“It doesn’t matter, I have other methods of getting to your lifepoints,” Dr. Bensley growled, playing a new Spell Card with a man who appeared to be choking to death by his snake tattoo. The dark tattoos on the card shot out and covered both of our bodies. “such as Dark Snake Syndrome! Now during each of my Standby Phases we both take 200 points of damage. Which will only double the more turns that pass by. I also play this! Dark Room of Nightmare!” This Spell Card depicted an ancient tomb with shadows of a man being tortured by a pair of guards. “Now when you take damage by a card effect, you lose an additional 300 points. Finally, since I didn’t summon a monster this turn, I’ll set one now.” A facedown card appeared where his monster would have. “And just so you know, it’s not another Giant Germ, but rather a monster known as Poison Mummy.” He allowed the deteriorating mummy to reveal itself ever so slightly. (1000/1800) “When he’s flipped summoned, you’ll lose 500 Lifepoints. Plus, the effects of my Dark Room of Nightmare will cost you 300 more than that. With only 1300 Lifepoints left, you’ll lose by my next turn, guaranteed.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” I snickered painfully, “my momma always told me not to count my chicken’s before they hatched.”
“Is that so, I end my turn,” Dr. Bensley announced, Ameba sadly returned to his side of the field, “I’d love to see you turn this duel around before my next turn starts.”
“I wont have to, you’ve already done it for me,” I said before drawing my card, “now to complete the set. I play my personal favorite, Card Trooper!”
A futuristic toy robot that looked like it came from the Lost in Space series rushed onto the field. His two vacuum cleaner like arms pointed in the ready. “I also activate his ability to discard three cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard. Doing so gives Card Trooper 500 Attack for each card I drop.” I did so as Card Trooper’s spotlight-like eyes flashed from the power boost, ready to roll. My Spell Striker prepared itself for another assault on the doc.
“But that’s still not nearly enough to defeat me,” Dr. Bensley pointed out fearfully.
“For once you’re right, so I end my turn.”
All of my monsters tripped/gasped and stared at me, even Armor Breaker poked his face out of his Hammer form. I winked at them. Although, considering that my left eye was already closed, it didn’t reassure them at all.
“Wait,” Dr. Bensley attempted to pick the earwax out of his ear, “what was that?”
“I said that your math is right and that I end my turn,” I announced, “now draw your card so that I can win this duel already.”
“Kid, I don’t think that you understand the rules of the game,” Dr. Bensley slowly drew his card, “the winner is the one who depletes the other’s lifepoints first.”
“I understand it better than you think,” I pointed to his Magic Cards, “but first your Dark Snake Syndrome activates costing us both 200 points.” I almost forgot about what kind of duel I was in. I certainly remembered as the tattoo squeezed us both.
“Plus Dark Room of Nightmare’s effect costs me even more damage,” I said before the tattoo tightened it’s grip on me even tighter than before with a redish glow. The tattoos didn’t release us, but it loosened it’s grip on me. I could swear that my lungs were crushed, again.
“And then I’ll-”
“Wait,” I shouted, “Being damaged by your card effects activates both of my trap cards! …you might recognize them…”
Bensley took one look at my Traps before gritting what was left of his teeth, “They were both Attack and Receive. A lot of good that will do you. I have enough Lifepoints to survive.”
“Do you now?”
“Of course I do,” Bensley pointed to each of my Trap Cards, “Each one of those Traps deals out 700 damage, since there’s two that’s only 1400.”
“True, but they also each deal an additional 300 points for each copy of this card that exists in my graveyard.”
“That’s still only 1700!”
“Very good,” I slowly clapped my hands to mock him, “However, you’ll never guess what just dropped itself off in the graveyard when I activated Card Trooper’s effect.”
“You don’t mean…”
“That’s right,” I smiled widely pulling the card from the graveyard for him to see, “Attack and Receive! Which means that my two traps will deal an additional 300 points of damage, each.”
“600 more means that,” Dr. Bensley couldn’t finish his sentence as the Dark Snake Tattoo flashed a purple light and tightened around him draining away his lifepoints slowly and painfully for each effect damage individually.
“That’s right,” I said as the Tattoo released me and slithered back into its card, “Exactly 2300 Lifepoints.”
“Now that I won,” I stepped forward, easier and easier with each step, “I get to be fully healed. Where as you, have to play the penalty game.”
“Please, I’m begging you,” Dr. Bensley weakly raised his hand, “have mercy…”
“I don’t think that you’d want my kind of mercy,” I smiled darkly, letting my inner demons show through my face, “After all Monkey see, Monkey do. What I see you do onto others… I’ll do unto you.”
The doc’s eyes widened as if he knew what I had meant. He was too frightened by my dark side to speak or plead anymore. All around him the Giant Germs and Amebas that he had used to win duels for so long rose from the cracks of the hospital floor. They surrounded the both of us with a vile stench in the air and this indescribable squelching sound.
“Dinner time,” I signaled for the monsters to advance. The good doctor screamed at the top of his lungs. Unknown to Bensley, Spell Striker rose up from behind and bonked him on the head with Armor Breaker. Not enough to really hurt him, but enough to knock him out.
“Okay guys that’s enough.” The formless monsters stopped advancing and ‘looked’ at me.
“He is my prey after all,” I bent down and dug through the doctor’s jacket for the cards that he had stolen from Marshal. I was surprised to find more than just one deck. Who knows how many people he’s hurt just to collect their decks? Still, I couldn’t kill him. I don’t want to go back down that road again. Yet a proper punishment had to be taken for his wicked ways.
Now I’m not going to bore you by repeating the details of what happened to the dear Doctor Bensley. It was a long time ago after all.
Of course, I’ve never felt the need to share this information with anyone. I have yet to even tell Marshal about my previous encounters with the Shadows. And at this point, it’s unclear if I ever will. It’s my burden to bear not his. And I will take the Shadows down to my grave if I must…

2300 => 1600 => 1300 => 600 => 0
