Run

I want to run
I want to feel the wind
I want to be faster than anyone.
I want to escape the troubles of my life

When running
You can feel so alive
Able to relax
It feels like freedom

No one can touch you
No one can see you
No one can hear you rush by
No one can throw their troubles upon you

Trouble cannot find you
Misery cannot take over
Eventually they will catch me
And hopefully they will give me a last request.

I will only tell them
“I wish to run.”
And then I shall leave them behind,
All sadness fading away.
